Apocalyptic Raids 12-27-2005 11:51 PM

I was really close, but the darn speakers were in the way.
At least you saw them live!
:p

Forlorn Hope 12-28-2005 12:03 AM

Drunk people kept trying to get on stage at the show I went to. Stage crew had to push them off the stage a few times.

Shadows 12-28-2005 12:05 AM

Haha, that was hilarious. Especially when some guy tried to climb up during Amon Amarth and the security guy pushed him back down before he could get up.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 12:05 AM

There were a few crowd-surfers who got up on stage at mine.

One guy knocked over Alexi's mic :O

Amon Amarth put on a great show. I was dissapointed in Trivium's performance.

Me too. Trivium was nothing but a violent crowd while Amon Amarth actually played well. I was surprised at the huge amount of Trivium fans there were.

I like Trivium, but they ignorantly sped all of their songs up, and Heafy messed with his clean vocal parts. (sigh)

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 12:12 AM

Probably because Trivium are pretty popular these days.

Shadows 12-28-2005 12:13 AM

That's too bad. There were more Trivium fans then CoB fans at my show.

Oh. I don't like them either way, so there was a good chance I wasn't going to like their live show. Even the Trivium fan that came with us didn't like them.

Well, COB and Amon Amarth made up for Trivium's poor performance, so the trip was still worth it. It was a three hour drive from here.

Yep, they both played very well. It was three hours for us too. It should've only been one hour, but we got lost on the way. :)

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 12:28 AM

It was a three hour train ride to Bodom :(

Trains are boring as fuck.

I bet...At least in a car you can listen to Bodom on the way there :p

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 12:33 AM

True. I drove to Megadeth, and blasted Megadeth on they way.

Good times.

Its funny to blast headphones really loud on a train or bus...especially when you are listening to extremely fast and chaotic death metal, and all the people around you give you weird looks.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 12:36 AM

:-D

Megadeth were better though.

blue3 12-28-2005 12:38 AM

I bet. They came here but tickets sold out fast and I didn't have money anyway.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 02:40 AM

I got really lucky with Megadeth. It sold out, and was 18+, but then they opened up some underage tickets :-D

PsychoticFlubber 12-28-2005 12:22 PM

I miss the CoB/Amon Amarth show so bad. I havn't been to many concerts, and that one was probably the most fun. Although, since I still don't have a drivers permit I couldn't drive there, so I had to leave early because the one driving would be late for work. So mad that I missed Bodom play Downfall...

Trivium did give a poor performance. I don't like them much anyway, but it was pretty cool when they played "Walk" by Pantera... they got everyone to stand up. Amon Amarth was friggin great too...

PsychoticFlubber 12-28-2005 12:25 PM

The sad part to this is that there might soon be more people knowing about Trivium than CoB just because of that whole Hardcore fad. I hate hardcore, but there are so many of them damn mall kids walking around talking about how awsome random crappy bands are that they will eventually come around to Trivium. It's actually already happened over here in Mass though.

On the way to Bodom we listened to Morbid Angel and Emperor. Good stuff, even though it didn't relate to the show we were going to.

Forlorn Hope 12-28-2005 03:12 PM

Has anyone heard anything from Inearthed? If you have, what did you think of it?

Shadows 12-28-2005 03:13 PM

I used to have all of their demos. It's good stuff, but extremely primitive and with terrible production.

True...production quality was horrible. But you've got to start somewhere eh?

MRDuCran 12-28-2005 03:47 PM

I downloaded one of their songs, the production did put me off too and you can definately hear how much better Alexi is now compared to back then.

Yes you can definitely tell how much Alexi has improved throughout their albums. Even live performances, his solo duel with Janne was faster and more complicated than War Of Razors, from Tokyo Warhearts.

King_Of_Terrors 12-28-2005 04:19 PM

WTF! I don't have one post on this page, what the hell happened!?

Alexi's voice is amazing in Hatebreeder, I just listened on the way home from getting my Jackson

Ehh...i thought his voice in Hatebreeder seemed sloppy. Personally, i thought his voice gets better as the albums get newer. But thats just me. Awesome about the Jackson, what exactly did you get? I just got a DXMG not long ago.

EDIT: lol i didnt know i was logged on my friends new account...this post is supposed to be by Forlorn Hope.

MRDuCran 12-28-2005 04:32 PM

I heard hatebreeder after HCDR so I was more used to the new sound of his voice. Then when I got it, I was shocked as to how raspy it was, most along the lines of black metal. But now it's normal, I don't think about it, I absolutely love it.
