I just had the most delicious sandwich from a German deli here in Orange. It was so flavorful and fresh.

i found out that my mass comm teacher was one of the guys running damage control for bill clinton during the monica lewinsky thing.

so i guess that explains why he has such tenure at my school.

The CR stations down here have been playing the same songs for the past few years. I cannot turn on a CR station and not want to puke.

One two three
She's a real left winger 'cause she been down south
And held peasants in her arms
She said "I could tell you a story that could make you cry"
"What about you?"
I said "Me too"
"I could tell you a story that will make you cry"
And she sighed "Ah"
I said "I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed"
"I like Lou Reed" she said sticking her tongue in my ear
"Let's go, let's sit, let's talk"
"Politics go so good with beer"
"And while we're at it baby, why don't you tell me one of your biggest fears?"
I said "Loosing my penis to a whore with disease"
"Just kidding" I said
"Losing my life to a whore with disease"
She said "Excuse me please?"
I said "Losing my life to a whore with disease"
I said "Please... I'm a humble guy with a healthy desire"
"Don't give me no **** because..."
Romainian

@ Cain: Did they play their new songs? I hear they have no resemblance to Creed.
They did, and they also played AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie" and Myles did a pretty passable slide-dobro Robert Johnson cover for the encore. In general, the show was a major guitar feast--Myles played some very ripping good solos of his own on a number of the new songs, as well as "Find the Real," and possibly a highlight of the evening, suprisingly, was Kennedy doing a solo cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in the middle of the set with an unbelievable level of quality breath support--he held one note for about a minute and then proceeded to go higher and higher all on the strength of one breath. The guy packs a great voice.

And of course Tremonti looked like a badass, and played like one too. The highlights of the show for me were really when him and Myles rocked out together though, you could tell the band was having so much fun.

And yeah, hardly any resemblance to Creed. They avoided a lot of the songs off "One Day Remains" that sounded like them, with the exception of the two big singles.

Iluvatar 10-17-2007 04:54 PM

My classic rock station seems to love Styx, Rush, Zeppelin, Floyd, the Police and even play some olf Genesis at times. I dont mind it every once in a while.

Riva 10-17-2007 05:47 PM

Maybe in the Unit88d SStates of Amerikkka, but here in the normal world, you get paid more if you enter a job with more qualifications.

PinkFreud 10-17-2007 05:47 PM

A lot of times employers will pay for the degree, and getting a masters is incredibly expensive anyway.
