Pietasters - Oolooloo
Charlier Parker - At Storyville The former is cool soul-tinged ska-punk, and the latter is a couple of Boston Radio sets that Parker played in 1953, which I picked up on vinyl for 4 bucks. |
Listening to some John Cale. Did anyone ever listen to Black Acetate? Is that worth getting?
|

Such a fun band. I picked up some cool 3 disc thing with 4 of their albums for $20 last year. |
Prefuse73 - One Word Extinguisher
Timesbold - Eye Eye Cat Power - The Greatest Lamb - Lamb Young Gods - L'Eau Rouge Is it me or are the Young Gods totally underrated. They have been a mainstay, ever since I saw in them live. I've been listening to L'Eau Rouge like a baby pig sucking it's mothers teet dry. |
Guitar Wolf - Panet of the Wolves
Melt Banana - Cell Scape Fugazi - Some bootlegs I got yesterday Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home |
Captain Beefheart - Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller)
I also just listened to his Ice Cream for Crow, but it's not that hot. The above is shaping up to be excellent. |

I've been listening to a ton of Busdriver lately, along with The Fire Show - Saint The Fire Show(Pleasant abstract poppy stuff). Oh and also the new Grayskul album, Name In Vain. |

Doc at the Radar Station and Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller), on the other hand, were instant hits in my book. |

I think I heard some live tracks some time ago but wasn't really impressed. Should I look into them again?
It depends if you like typical ska. |

It's got three extra songs, and each side starts and ends with random car engines starting up. The sound is fantastic. |

Sebadoh - Harmacy
For some reason, "On Fire" is such a good song that the albums decline after that doesn't really bother me. It's like being flown by a heli to a mountain top, enjoying the view and then descent down with velocity on a sled. |
