Moving to Spain would actually be pretty easy because I have family over there and, even though I've never really spoken to them, I don't think they'd leave me out on the street. But I couldn't live there. Weather is actually somewhat important to me, and somehow I don't think Spain would be cooler than California.
the northern parts are actually pretty cool

dei 07-31-2007 10:18 PM

What's the weather like in Zaragoza? That's where most of my family lives. I might have a few in Madrid or Barcelona.

its near barcelona, so i'd guess that i'd be a bit dry and warm

Barthelona

Tharagotha.

When I lived in America, most Americans barely knew Australia existed. One person asked me if lived in a "little straw hut with indians". No I'm not joking.

Yeah, well, most Americans think "mainland Australia" is North Korea and Tasmania is South Korea.

YDload 07-31-2007 11:03 PM

i'm good with geography. i don't have them stupid baby problems of not knowing where countries are (unless its those tiny island nations in the East or West Indies)

hey.. the Indies ;)

dei 07-31-2007 11:06 PM

I couldn't point to many African countries.

br3ad_man 07-31-2007 11:07 PM

lolo

It's not really about knowing where things are though really, it's more about, like, not being stupid.

Glitterati 07-31-2007 11:07 PM

my friend jim (who's a total metalhead) asked me the other day if indie car racing is my favorite type of racing

Zmev 07-31-2007 11:09 PM

*indy

Clearly stock car racing is better though. Brickyard > Indy speedway

dei 07-31-2007 11:10 PM

Racing is gay.

margin0walker 07-31-2007 11:10 PM

clearly racing is stupid as fuck

edit: beaten

Glitterati 07-31-2007 11:14 PM

nascar racing is gay, im clearly all about the jalopy tournaments

dei 07-31-2007 11:17 PM

I need to work on my farmer's tan.
south african accents are pretty cool
No it's not. It's the worst and most easily mocked accent I've ever come across. I generally don't like saffa's, so maybe it's me.

margin0walker 07-31-2007 11:23 PM

ive never heard anyone mock a south african accent

Tangy zizzle 07-31-2007 11:26 PM

Maybe you don't live in New Zealand?

margin0walker 07-31-2007 11:27 PM

could be

Tangy zizzle 07-31-2007 11:27 PM

and...maybe you don't move in the correct circles to be privvy to such callousness?

margin0walker 07-31-2007 11:28 PM

im pretty sure the majority of americans dont even know what a south african accent sounds like

Tangy zizzle 07-31-2007 11:33 PM

Probably. Yarpies are pretty rife down here. They're pretty harmless but sometimes the old Kraut sensibilities can jump out of 'em.

Their accent is too easily mocked/impersonated - it sounds so dull and yet angry at the same time.

YDload 07-31-2007 11:36 PM

new zealand accents sound like weak australian accents. like if some american guy was trying to convince people that he was australian and messing up.

I believe half of the jokes on 'Flight of the Conchords' are based on that. and it's still fantastic.

br3ad_man 08-01-2007 12:49 AM

Dude in my city like every second person is South African. I know lots of nice ones, but a lot of them seem to be really similar, especially females. I guess it's that way with any country.

perriwinkle 08-01-2007 01:02 AM

how would you generalize South Africans?

my seventh grade teacher was S African. her name was Ms. Todd-Mason, she was mortally sexy and had a really hot accent.

<3<3<3 08-01-2007 03:23 AM

I've been to New Zealand once, it was pretty cool. Why are there many South Africans down under?

Dude - you have no idea. My suburb is about 60% South African, no joke, and the girls are all the fucking same, its really crap at times. They look, sound, and act exactly like their mothers and each other. I wouldn't mind if I never heard another SA accent during my lifetime, but I guess that won't happen. When I finish school (3 months w00!) I'm gonna move out of this suburb as soon as I can. Just need some more money.
