1. Lou Reed - 3

How is this possible? I don't believe I played a single song on my computer this week, let alone three Lou Reed songs.
I think your computer was hinting at what it wants for Christmas.

Excursions 12-25-2006 05:45 PM

I deleted my last.fm accounts twice because it's lame but I just made another new one.

Mine is weird, too.

A few weeks ago it said Anti-Flag: 11. And I don't have any of them on my computer and have never played anything by them... Plus, I couldn't delete it.

Flagjacket 12-25-2006 07:46 PM

you can't delete things off last anymore.

I'd be interested to check out some of your music. Is it mostly more chilled out stuff?
I'd be interested to check out some of your music. Is it mostly more chilled out stuff?
Chilled out? Not nessisarily. In fact, the majority of my top ten over all I would have to say no.

What exactly do you mean by chilled out, though?

You will soon find out that for someone that really likes music, I am the all time worst person at describing the music I listen to.

Excursions 12-28-2006 12:24 AM

Her top 10 aren't really "chill" music as such. I'd describe them like this.

Freak out rock/jazz/avant-garde: Frank Zappa, Plastic People of the Universe, The Residents and Uz Jsme Doma. This stuff isn't chilled out. I guess They Might Be Giants could go here too, they are pretty quirky but poppy at the same time.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are chill-like if you have the right albums.

XTC is making plans for Nigel.

Anxious 12-28-2006 12:27 AM

asdf probably has the most consistent taste in "weird" music I've ever come across. I just don't have the stamina to take that much of the stuff. Great music though.

asdf 12-28-2006 01:23 AM

I grew up on weird.

Must be the same reason why I just can't take all that much punk.

but at the same time I'm not delving so much into weird as my brother is. He definitely looks for obscure and weird things purposely, I just listen to what I like.

AIRIC 12-28-2006 04:18 PM

I mean chilled out like long slow music that you would get high and listen to in the background type stuff.

Flagjacket 12-28-2006 07:15 PM

eric you should download fruity loops and makes remixes of everything and slow it down.

Chopped n screwed grindcore.

On my top 10? no.

Infact, looking at my top 50 I don't really see any bands that are consistantly chill. You might enjoy some Zappa or some Heavy Vegetable, but at the same time their stuff can be the complete opposite of what you're looking for. the most mellow things I listen to I guess would be Sigur Ros and Labradford.

Liebensaft 12-30-2006 01:42 PM

Eric. Listen to Modest Mouse, Sunset Rubdown, Xiu Xiu, and Wolf Parade.

AIRIC 12-30-2006 02:27 PM

I listen to Xiu Xiu occasionally.

DaveToopes 12-30-2006 02:58 PM

Eric Sigur Ros would be a good call.

asdf 12-30-2006 03:00 PM

Unless you hate gay man vocals that sounds like a girl.

I know a few of my friends do, but I quite like the vocals.

AIRIC 12-30-2006 03:08 PM

I actually love gay man vocals.

Best album?

asdf 12-30-2006 03:11 PM

Agaetis Byrjun.

The vocals are in Icelandic.

Henrik 12-30-2006 04:39 PM

Sigur Ros can be nice sometimes, try to get high and then put it on :)
