i have been listening to nothing but Elliott Smith
|
The Arcade Fire have impressed me a lot. A damm fine band if ya' ask me.
|
Which ones? Album of The Year and King For A Day are pretty over-rated by the Pattonheads.
And by the way, I've been digging Asian Dub Foundation lately. Wayyyy overlooked band.
I've got Angel Dust, King For A Day and Live At Brixton. ADF are awesome, one of Ed 'Obrien's favourite bands. He thinks that their guitarist is the best guitarist in England. Like you said, way overlooked. |

i agree. my brother saw them in Canada, and talked to them. And it was great cause they wished me happy birthday. they are awesome. |
Nothing new has been pleasuring me lately.
I've been listenin to a lot of mclusky, The Scientist, AFI and Consonant. |
I've been enjoying The Cramps, Beck, Soft Machine and Hot Snakes (who I just got into) out...I'm into outrageous music.
Right now I'm listening to Ani DiFranco...can't get enough of her. I heard she and Damien Rice went to Thailand and Burma to work with activists. I sure hope they will collab in the near future. |
Hot Snakes rule. That would be awesome to have a collab. between Damien and Ani. I'm going to Thailand in November, they'd better be there when I get there :p

Nice! I wish Radiohead would come back to Australia, and play a show near where I live...:(
|
They were here just a few months ago dude.
|
But they didn't play in Brisbane. I had to get my ass all the way to Sydney to see them.
|
I would have had to fly down to Sydney. Since I'm only 15, it wouldn't have been easy to afford.
Everyone who has a good taste in music, go to Rock & Metal and vote for Opeth on the Ultimate Metal Band poll |
^I voted for 'em.
Just listened to Bleeding Kansas(promoted by Buddy), they're mighty cool. |
appleseed cast and the velvet underground.
|
Awesome band, Buddy. They get progressive on some parts too.. kewl
By the way, is that a full-length they're releasing? The Secret I mean. |
Death Cab For Cutie - The Photo Album has been declared Tangy Zizzle's Official Album of The Week
As of lately I have been listening to a lot of Bright Eyes and Elliot Smith.
|
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin Metallica Nirvana Pearl Jam Silverchair The Vines (don't even think about it, tangy!) The Strokes Higher Zenith The Blues Brothers Green Day The Offspring ++ various other indie artists |
Elliott Smith, Sigur Ros, Brand New and Something Corporate are all I've listened to all week.
As of lately I have been listening to a lot of Bright Eyes and Elliot Smith.
Me too actually. I just watched Good Will Hunting again so i'm in Elliott mode. :) |
I've been listening to acoustic singer/songwriter in general a lot lately, Dallas Green has been playing since I got home from school.
|
death cab is so fly
Tiny vessels song for kelly huckaby movie script ending champagne from a paper cup wait
I think I just missed my chance at seeing them live with Pretty Girls Make Graves. :( Lately, I've been listenging to some indie pop- Belle & Sebastian, Beulah; along with some Mirah and Interpol's "Antics". |
I'm getting back into Tool, after having not listened to them for about a year. I've been listening to Lateralus a bit. Awesome stuff, can't wait for a new album.
|
Just bought a few albums... all 80s stuff
Tom Waits The Stone Roses Galaxie 500 Violent Femmes REM |
Just bought Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R and its freakin awesome!
and I was gettin tired of Franz Ferdinand, until I saw them live the other night and they sounded better then they did on their album hehe... they played with The Evaporators, (Nardwuar's Band) and they're awesome 2... I can't find their album of course, but chek em out' |
These cds i have played lately.
Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix This is amazing. Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin This is great! My favourite led zep album. Led Zeppelin II Second only to their debut, this album kicks nearly as much ***. Whole Lotta love is my favourite song on this album. Nirvana: In Utero A great follow up to the epic Nevermind. My favourite songs are Heart Shaped Box and All Apologies. Nirvana: Nevermind This is album is a classic. It combined punk, metal and alternative to form what we now call "grunge". Great riffs. Great sound. Great vocals. Everything came together well for Nirvana on this album. A real classic. Pearl Jam: Ten My favourite grunge album at the moment. This album has a great groove compared to Nirvana's, and the guitars are more complex and sound better than that of Nirvana. This album is another classic, and definately in my top 5 albums at the moment. The Vines: Winning Days I have been a huge fan of the vines lately (and i've developed a reputation here for it :)). Although, this album hasn't touched me the way it used to. Must be overplayeditis. the heavier songs combine grunge with punk excellently. The softer songs show craig nicholl's excellent songwriting capabilites. Every instrument ont his album sounds great, and this album is one of the best garage rock albums i've heard. The Strokes: Reptilla (Single) This is a great song. Garage rock at it's finest. Green Day: Dookie Green day break through into the mainstream with this excellent effort. Everything sounds great. If you like punk or any ponk (pop-punk) then you should check this out. "The holy grail of pop-punk". And that's about it. My top 5 albums, no specific order. Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin II Pearl Jam: Ten Green Day: Dookie The End. |
I'm going to have quite a few new cds soon. My birthday's on Sunday and tonight I'm buying "Blazing Arrow" by Blackalicious.
|
Lately I've just been listening to a lot of Interpol's new album and some Captain Beefheart.
|

I Just got Great Lakes self titled CD. It's defintley alot better that anything The Sunshine Fix has done, I may even do a review on it.
|
I'm reminiscing to some NIN. I can't believe I sold my copy of The Fragile. *sniff*
|
Lately I've started to get into Modest Mouse and Radiohead. I'm probabaly gonna go tonight to buy a cd from each (prob. OK Computer or Pablo Honey for Radiohead, and I'm not totally decided on the MM, I might get the new cd if I have the $$). I've been a big fan of Pedro the Lion for a few years, but just got the new cd (Achiles Heel), and have been listening to that a bunch.

be sure to focus enough time to both the bends and moon and antartica, you'll love both as long as you dont dwell on one more then the other... |

|
Bright Eyes - Fevers & Mirrors and Bjork - Debut.
