How are the extra tracks? |
"Extracurricular" is a decent track, but "Catacombs" is the better of the two extras. The former was culled from a split 7"/cd that they did with a band called Sunshine and is what you'd expect from the El Paso boys. It's definitely not a bad song or anything that takes away from the original album. "Catacombs" is simply a better track, and seems to fit in with the album art in its own way. If you don't have Relationship of Command already, I definitely recommend picking it up. If you have it and are only kind of a fan of ATDI, it's not particularly worth the extra $10-$16 for only two extra songs. If you love ATDI and want to support their posthumous output and support Fearless, definitely get it. The bonus tracks aren't filler or just random garbage that they wanted to put on to cash in on Fearless's recent acquisition of whatever rights to the album.
As a side note, my copy of Vaya (pre-reissue) won't rip to my iTunes/iPod. It won't rip onto my brother's, either. Is this something with my copy of the cd, or is it just some irregularity found in all copies of the EP? |
a bit less lofi and more song structure oriented then his first few albums and it definetly feels like he's got the makings of a great successful album. Well, that's what would have been said if Happiness In Magazine's didnt already come out. well worth it though. |
