There is no way that could possibly be serious. Even the name makes it sound intentionally funny.
Regardless of whether it was meant to be serious or not...

Why the hell did they let PJ direct LotR? He made a bunch of other movies like Bad Taste, too.

Ting 10-17-2006 09:28 PM

So...who wants to do Ting's accouting homework!
The gore was mediocre. Only a couple of scenes. If I want a movie with boobs I will watch an American Pie style movie, at least those aren't nauseous.
Pfft! Being nauseated is the way to go.

The only part of that film that bothered me in the slightest was when that doctor cut the American's achilles tendons open. I have a huge fear of that. :upset:

Hmm. Who knows.

Know what else was a really bad movie? Miami Vice.

I think I was most bothered by the kids putting a dent in the bad guy's head.

Because he did an amazing job with it. He wrote something big on LOTR when he was in university or collage, can't remember what. He was already well known in the LOTR community.

Yeah, that part didn't bother me a single bit.

The funny thing is that that kind of stuff isn't uncommon over on that side of the world. I don't know, personally, but from what I have read about countries and whatnot. There are gangs of kids that just mug people. :amaze:

Maybe he was well known, but I still would have questioned his directing ability.

Is that really something ot be proud of?

Also, the end of Return Of The King pissed me off so much. I had to take a wicked piss and the movie just dragged on and on for about half an hour. I was ready to kill someone.

How? You said that they made a questionable choice when they picked him. I said that it didn't matter because of the end result.

Also, lowsound, books aren't movies. I was sitting in that theater for three and a half hours and needed a real big piss by the time that third hour rolled around... but wait, it just keeps going and going and going.

You can put a book down whenever you want, you don't pay for a movie ticket so you can walk out and miss the goddamn movie.

In this case? Yes, he had the credentials, he had the knowledge, he was willing to give up more than five years of his life to do the movies and he ended up making great movies, that made billions.

Radiobass81 10-17-2006 09:44 PM

Lord of the Rings?

First movie was good. Second was my favorite by far, a classic maybe. Third is probably the most overrated movie of the decade. By a longshot.
