I recently bought Rhapsody's "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" (part 1) and Sonata Arctica's "Reckoning Night". Great stuff.

Nu-Metal solos used to exist, now the bands just use normal solos, but shorten them way too much.

One example of a real nu-metal solo would be at the end of Earache My Eye by Korn.

Anyhow, do Norther have any albums other than Mirror Of Madness, cause I have that one, but I can't find any other material.

How many Demons and Wizards fans do we have in the house?

Has anyone here heard Skyclad? I heard them in a friends car and thought they were awful. Really generic, boring, monotonous and unoriginal. Are they power metal because I had originally heard they were?

Could anyone here please yousendit The Bard's Song by Blind Guardian for me? I only have it in video form, and without any programs or knowledge, can't convert that into an audio file. And I really want it as an audio file, for mp3 player purposes and for sharing it with people over the internet.

They play a 4 minute live version of the song on the Forgotten Tales album. Maybe you have that version.

I don't think it's live. It's a video version, which I have on DVD. It's more or less the same as Part One, just sounds re-recorded (and about 20 seconds longer, and with video, naturally).

Meh, its literally a pop song in scandinavia, I was in denmark and they played the video for it a hell of a lot.

anybody see the article in guitar world about how power metal is coming back into the picture becuase of bands like arch enemy, children of bodom, and nevermore.

personally i like manowar, arch enemy, and COB.

I wouldn't consider Arch Enemy, Nevermore or CoB power metal.
