Accidents and "Hey It's Your Funeral Mama" are two of their best songs off the new album. You should download them.

AK47 09-02-2004 11:46 PM

I've been seriously digging the Jesus and the Mary Chain

clown_phobia 09-03-2004 01:05 AM

i've been revising my top 5 albums.

Smash by The Offspring
Winning Days by The Vines
Metallica by Metallica
Ribbed by NOFX
Nevermind by Nirvana

Tomahawk 09-03-2004 02:24 AM

Now digging: A Perfect Circle
I hope Live At Sin-e's worth it! I can't wait.:D
Live at Sin-e is definitely worth it. It's as good as "Grace".

feg 09-03-2004 03:58 AM

I am grown to very fond of The Fiery Furnces, whose first cd Gallowsbird's park is a great combination of energy and experimentation.

You and Tangy should be able to get along very well.:thumb: haha.

Ahh.. I began listening to my Vapor Trails again yesterday.. Although I'm not really that knowledgable about Rush. Is it better or worse than older Rush albums? I love "Freeze" and "Sweet Miracle". I just notice there's less riffing and solos and stuff..

The Ashtray Girl 09-03-2004 08:37 AM

The Fiery Furnaces are awesome.

Tapeworm 09-03-2004 08:39 AM

Indeed they are, I am still looking for either of their albums.

Does anyone think that Gallowsbird's Park is better than Blueberry Boat? Cause they have one of them at my local cd store, and I can't even remember which one it is come to think of it.

biografiend 09-03-2004 01:08 PM

i havent heard gallowsbird's park, but blueberry boat is wonderful.
ive been listening to the faint alot, are there any good bands similar to them?

Dreamer 09-03-2004 03:49 PM

Lately I've been listening to Xiu Xiu... very very good band... also, a good Canadian band, The Unicorns, have an awesome new album out. :)

Blueberry Boat > Gallowsbird's Bark. No contest.

cbmartinez 09-03-2004 09:32 PM

I'm totally digging that Killers song, "Somebody Told Me."

Jellyspoon 09-04-2004 10:05 AM

I think 'Mr. Brightside' is miles better than 'somebody told me'

i heard 'bitter Cold' by Supermachiner, and really like it, has anyone else heard their stuff? it's a Converge side-project essentially. Is it any good?

The Ashtray Girl 09-04-2004 10:22 AM
Blueberry Boat > Gallowsbird's Bark. No contest.
It got a crap write up in the paper yesterday though. Not that I trust such things, but what do you think they didn't like?

asymm 09-04-2004 02:38 PM

Picked up these LPs yesterday and I've been digging them:

Guided By Voices - "Half Smiles of the Decomposed"
Mclusky - "The Difference Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire"
Black Dice - "Creature Comforts"

and I'm still fucking digging Blueberry Boat... I've been digging it since I bought it on it's release date (July 13).. PLUS! I'm seeing them live this Friday in Chicago...

Luxor 09-04-2004 03:01 PM

I've basically been rotating between Elliot Smith - Either/Or and Jeff Buckley - Grace (Legacy Edirion).

So much talk about Blueberry Boat... I don't even know what band that is.

asymm 09-04-2004 03:17 PM

Band: The Fiery Furnaces
Album: Blueberry Boat

That was me last week except I don't have the Legacy edition :upset:

I'm really loving The Polyphonic Spree

AndreTheHyena 09-04-2004 05:25 PM

Murder By fucking Death

album: Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them

Iai 09-04-2004 05:31 PM

The Format - Tune Out. Kinda Beatles-meets-Counting Crows. I'm loving it.

I hate you! You get to see Fiery Furnaces live! I hope you have fun man.

Happymeal 09-04-2004 07:35 PM

Liquid Tension Experiment 2 is so beautiful.. I just bought it a while ago:p I've been thinking about picking up Medulla. Is it any good??

br3ad_man 09-04-2004 08:07 PM

I've downloaded it and I really like it.

Happymeal 09-04-2004 09:00 PM

I think I'll just download it too.. I really have to save for Live At Sin-e.. The cheapest here is $32.99..darn

br3ad_man 09-04-2004 09:07 PM

Yeah, I don't think I'd buy it. I'll listen to it a few more times and then probably delete it,

Happymeal 09-04-2004 09:20 PM

Even if I go on cd shopping sprees every once in a while, I wouldn't buy cd's I won't listen to for a long time even if people tell me they're good(and they're pretty expensive too). Besides, I love mix tape cd's(if there's such a thing).. hehe.. I'm really enjoying Kind Of Like Spitting's Nothing Makes Sense Without It.. It's a very "can relate to" album, and you probably won't like it if you're not a bit sappy like me.:p

Luxor 09-04-2004 10:19 PM
Band: The Fiery Furnaces
Album: Blueberry Boat
Thanks, I'll have to look into that.
