Also indietrash, no one memorizes who is in bands, the only name from screamo I know are like the members of Orchid, for obvious stalker reasons, and Saetia since Hot Cross before they broke up was supposed to tour with like FBTMOF.

But both Chris and Matt act like they look down on hardcore now or something, I think that was the problem that most people (me included) had with them.

i mean if you read my post, it clearly says I still listen to hardcore/emo. I do think that save for a few bands its a pretty barren genre but whatever, i really think that records like Jane Doe, The Moon Is A Dead World, The Shape Of Punk To Come are worthy of listening to by fans of any kind of music and to be honest, I'm glad I went through a phase where I listened to that music because I have an appreciation for it and a pretty in depth knowledge of the genre. And knowing more about music is always a good thing. I have a bunch of friends who if I put something like Gospel on they would be like "lol too much screaming" and I think that's just ignorant.

I mean who cares if they look down on it?

My best friends look down on me listening to hardcore since they view it as ignorant music for violent types, Chris and Matt are both cool dudes aside from their musical taste, hell they still listen to good music that maybe isn't what most of us listen to most of the time, so I don't see how it should matter.

I still go to hardcore shows sometimes. probably more than a lot of people who post in these hardcore threads do...

i just don't like as many of the s'hitty bands i used to think are good. now i realize they are s'hitty, and have replaced them with better music. this way i can listen to all high caliber tunage.

whoever's like "Gravity and 31G bands all suck" kind of suck because Gravity and 31G bands rule.
