LifeInABox 06-03-2007 09:07 PM

But im in a metalcore forum. Ok well, i said they may not be metalcore. So they arent, but i would give that album a 10 if i could. ive listened to it 7 times today. I got it...today.

RouteOne 06-03-2007 09:07 PM
Archetype FTW.
A perfect album if there ever was one.

LifeInABox 06-03-2007 09:09 PM

A Dead Modernist 06-03-2007 09:35 PM

The only "metalcore" band I enjoy is Converge.

Tyler 06-03-2007 09:37 PM

Why did you put "metalcore" in quotations?

RouteOne 06-03-2007 09:38 PM

Eakflanderyof 06-03-2007 09:42 PM

I've found that death metal bands tend to do way more interesting breakdowns than metalcore bands.

A Dead Modernist 06-03-2007 09:47 PM
Why did you put "metalcore" in quotations?
Not sure if their even considered that. Am not to good with genres tbh

antihippy 06-03-2007 11:56 PM

Breakdown!

Tyler 06-04-2007 01:28 AM

anyone like Starkweather? I've had Croatoan on here for a while but never really listened to it.

Concubine 06-04-2007 03:35 AM

Starkweather rules

and how come no one mentioned Deadguy yet?

Dimmu Burger 06-04-2007 07:57 AM
Why Can't you still be?
I still like the genre a good bit, but i was pretty exclusive to it but In Flames got me into Melodic Death and that got me into death metal and that led to black metal and now im starting to dabble in Doom and Folk/Viking stuff. So I've broadened my horizons a bit.

Oh and Cave-In are amazing, i'm suprised nobody's heard of them.

Concubine 06-04-2007 08:00 AM

if youre talking about old cave in then yeah

antihippy 06-04-2007 08:11 AM

define the great line by underoath is absolutely ace. i've been listening to it alot lately.

Txus 06-04-2007 08:12 AM

Cave In are good, not amazing.

Dimmu Burger 06-04-2007 08:13 AM

Old Cave-In is good yes, but the newer stuff is amazing in its own way. Antenna and Perfect Pitch Black are brilliant.

Concubine 06-04-2007 08:15 AM

Until Your Heart Stops is ****in incredible

Txus 06-04-2007 08:18 AM

That's the only album I consider excellent, their other albums are good/ok.

Concubine 06-04-2007 08:19 AM

pretty much

although i really like Jupiter as well

Dimmu Burger 06-04-2007 08:20 AM

Jupiter is some really cool spacey stuff, which im starting to get into a little more, meaning the whole ambient rock sort of thing, like Boris.

2muchket! 06-04-2007 01:54 PM

Can't wait for Architects and Devil Sold His Soul releasing their albums in June. Some decent english metalcore for a change.

LifeInABox 06-04-2007 02:10 PM

Poison The Well is superb.

Tyler 06-04-2007 03:20 PM

Architects are decent, their new album leaked so I might check it out.

LifeInABox 06-04-2007 03:28 PM
Some decent english metalcore for a change.
Not happening. BFMV already spoiled anything Metalcore and English. Well, Welsh or whatever they are.

antihippy 06-05-2007 12:14 AM

welsh

Could you link me that? That would be sweet.

Nepenthe 06-05-2007 04:30 PM

Architects are awful.

Tyler 06-05-2007 04:57 PM
Could you link me that? That would be sweet.
Check your rep.

Dimmu Burger 06-06-2007 11:12 AM
Misery Signals' newest album is a masterpiece, but the previous one is a piece of ****. I could listen to The Failsafe and Sword Of Eyes like 20 times in a row.
Do you like the sound of the recording on the new album? I love it but the low end is really umm.... low and I can't get it to sound right. And how do you feel about the new vocalist?

Monticello 06-06-2007 11:58 AM
Check your rep.
You're the man

LifeInABox 06-06-2007 01:54 PM
Do you like the sound of the recording on the new album? I love it but the low end is really umm.... low and I can't get it to sound right. And how do you feel about the new vocalist?
The low end is really thin, but it's crisp. I like it. The new vocalist is really meh, but he doesn't take away from how good the album is on a whole.

LifeInABox 06-06-2007 03:24 PM

Has anyone heard of The Handshake Murders?

Brandon_S 06-06-2007 03:29 PM

I don't mind old Everytime I die,but thats were I draw the line,I use to be into metalcore, but it bored me after a while.

www.myspace.com/camdenripper

www.myspace.com/playyourpart if you like metalcore

CityOfEvil 06-06-2007 03:39 PM

Nepenthe 06-06-2007 03:51 PM
