DepthsOfDreams555 03-07-2006 07:24 PM

Holy crap I hated having my permit. I got it over a year ago. I can't stand driving with my parents.

B 03-07-2006 07:27 PM

In Canada we don't get our permit 'til 16.

Understanding In a Crash 03-07-2006 07:28 PM

I think you get your permit at 16 in NY too... You can fully drive at 17 though.

Permanent Solution 03-07-2006 07:28 PM

Jon's first reaction: ...he was better off in terminal

Jon then checks out Terminal

Jon's Final Reaction: He was better off working in Taco Bell or wherever he came from.

For god's sake, people, don't mix Rocket Summer Vocals with overly mellow acoustics. Or moderatly/heavily distorted instruments, for that matter.

B 03-07-2006 07:33 PM

I love Terminal.

usukjon

DepthsOfDreams555 03-07-2006 07:35 PM

Ya Terminal is a solid band.

Understanding In a Crash 03-07-2006 07:39 PM

Emery - The Question is such a win/win situation.

ColdFire 03-07-2006 07:58 PM
I think you get your permit at 16 in NY too... You can fully drive at 17 though.
You can fully drive at 17 if you pass the road test and driver's ed.

You can drive fully at 18 if you pass the road test.

Loserkid 03-07-2006 08:07 PM

In the UK you can only get your provisional liesence at 17, then most people 30 lessons, 1 a week, a lot of people dont get there liesence till there 18, i definatly wont, because i am 18, and not passsed my test.

B 03-08-2006 06:42 AM

Is that a real movie?

Joel: I forget what that movie is supposed to be about.. I remember thinking it looked good.

TakeWarning 03-08-2006 07:56 AM

V for Vagina is indeed a porn flick.

Like alot of "pornos" they ripped the title of a different movie.

TakeWarning 03-08-2006 07:57 AM

Blegh, I've already been out getting things accomplished today.

I'm usually just waking up now :-\
The banning worked excelently on sunday, i got crap loads done.

Sweet 16 is soooooooooo funny.

Also, ive taken a liking to Panic! At the Disco, and also, the artic monkeys album is surprisingly good, but they are still overrated, wayyyyyyyy to much
I have so much work to do for music tech at the moment it is unreal. I spent 4 hours today perfercting a MIDI track, and I have like 15 more assignments along with my 20-minute CD to produce to do and a log of everything I've done in the studio. Tis not looking good, aye :(
Ah yes, a fever you cant sweat is a very good album.

I promise i wont do it again.
Yes it is, and no you won't! :-*
Falling out with your parents isn't good :(
I hate falling out with my parents, mainly because I only live with my mum. She came home from the pub a little pissed today, and after having one of the worst days ever, I am not too amused. I'm sure God is laughing at my expense though.
Got it all too high, got it figured out
I wanna do whatever, laugh until September
And I seem to think that you are once here with me
Maybe I was wrong, you were moving on

And I sit and wonder, falling under
Get my way or nothing will move on
Everyone has gone

You feel so empty, but got me a friend
And I like it, aaahh!

And I know you say I can’t care for someone
But are you that clever that you'd smile forever
Is it summer yet, cause I just don’t feel it
Maybe it’s a treaty, maybe you are not her

And I sit and wonder, falling under
Get my way or nothing will move on
Everyone has gone

You feel so empty, but got me a friend
And I like it, aaahh!

Say now
Got it for all of me
Into what?

\m/ I like playing that song.
/will be bopping along to that song next month

Oh yeah, about the worst day ever.

7:01 - The Fall Of Troy comes on my alarm stereo. I somehow sleep through 5 songs of pure guitar frenzy and screaming. My mum is still asleep

7:30 - I get up and go on the computer. It crashes, and I have to reboot. "Only 14 more days until the MacBook" I remind myself.

8:15 - School bus is late. I decide it's not a good idea to go to form while listening to The Rocket Summer. I also decide I like TRS very much.

9:05 - Media studies, and we have an exam. Luckily me and Bob don't get quizzed about the homework we didn't do for the lesson we convienately missed on Monday. I do pretty good for someone who can't remember a single key word for media (2 and a half pages on 2 tv adverts).

10:20 - Bob wants to have a joint, I follow him. We decide that if we go to music tech now and do work, we might be able to leave early. 4 hours of pure boredom in my town is not fun, and we have so much work to do, might as well, right?

11:50 - After an hour and a half's work, we go into the studio. I try singing vocals for his cover of "About A Girl", and my voice breaks. A lot. Bob is laughing at me through the soundproof glass, while I shout into the mic that his mother has a penis. He shoes his gratitude by flipping me off, and I get on the MIDI drum kit to smash out some stress. It doesn't work, and instead my arms now hurt.

1:00 - There's a practise for brass band or something in our music tech room. Bearing in mind we are there volunteerily, some of the sounds coming out of these kids were enough to make the chair beside me bleed. I turn the volume up on my MIDI track and fail to drown it out.

1:50 - Home time. Or so we thought. We were told that "because we hadn't done any work for this particular teacher", we weren't allowed to leave, even though we just gave up 4 hours doing work for other music tech teachers (We have 3 in total). I am extremely pissed off, and know I will have to get on the school bus home with morons who can't sit still.

3:00 - The bus comes early, a rare sight for me, and I get on. I get some shit from the bus driver because of Friday. You see, usually the bus comes late, and everyone piles on. I smacked anyone and everyone in my way and got onto the bus, leaving the money on the tray for the bus driver, and my ticket which I couldn't care about. Instead, he stops me, thinking I haven't paid. I tried to reason, saying I left my money for him, but he isn't having it. All I had was 50p and he let me on, saying that will do. I had now paid £1.20 for a 70p ticket. Anyway, he said if I tried getting on without paying again, he'd charge me full (He's usually cool and charges me child prices), to which I said he can shove it and walked to my seat.

Something has to happen today that will make it all worthwhile. I don't care what, but something spectacular has to happen. Enlighten me, people.

Dead Star 03-08-2006 11:19 AM

Whoa Kif, that is teh suxxors.

My school bus just didn't turn up this morning, so I had to wait half an hour in the pissing rain for another one. Which had two busloads of people on it, due to the first one not turning up. And I took my bass to school, so walking to the bus stop, some gay ned/chav started throwing ****ing stones at me, and one hit my bass case, so I turned round and well, was about to turn round and kill him, but the bus arrived.

My day sucked. So much.

Kif 03-08-2006 11:27 AM

I have a new theory on life now. Everything I want to happen, doesn't happen. Most of the times, this is little things like the changing of a traffic light when I'm on the bus, or whether a lesson will be good. But it's so annoying sometimes. I puropsely expect the worst, which is probably one of the reasons I don't exactly go out every weekend and get ratarsed/stoned.

Tomorrow I am just hoping it will be redeemed. I have a feeling today was the outcome of playing a practical joke on my friend Stevie, telling him he had been kicked off the media studies course after not attending 2 lessons and taking 3 months to hand in coursework due before December (He handed it in this Monday). Tomorrow I am laying down rhythm guitar for "Welcome Home", getting Will to play drums for "Last Caress" and maybe another song if I can be bothered, and I'm recording my friend's band's "single" afterschool. And assuming the studio is in a good mood and decides to be nice to me, what could go wrong, right?

Dead Star 03-08-2006 11:37 AM

Haha, everything will be cool.

I handed in my form to go to Alton Towers today :D

Oh, and I may be going to Reading Festival :D

Kif 03-08-2006 11:49 AM

Reading (And Download) both look pretty bad this year to me. The best-looking festival is V to me, but I doubt I'll go. I might see about going to Leeds for the Lock-Up day, but that's it.

Loserkid 03-08-2006 12:10 PM

im proberly gonna go leeds now i can afford it.

MUSE!!!

Kif 03-08-2006 12:16 PM

Oh yeah, my predictions were correct. TBS will be touring in May, which means I can safely see both Adam Lazarra swinging his mic on stage and Max Bernis (Of Say Anything) screaming abuse at the same scenesters admiring him with their cameraphones.

Now all we need is Fenix*TX and RX Bandits to play Nottingham, and I might just orgasm over the sheer amount of awesome live bands.

Dead Star 03-08-2006 12:44 PM

I'm wondering if Muse will tour this year, due to their new album coming out soon.

if they are, then I might just not go to Reading.

Kif 03-08-2006 01:06 PM

Depending on when the album is released, I'd say they might do November/December tour, then head across the Pacific next year to our in Americaland.

Oh, guess who has a Mega Drive, SNES and Game Boy emulator on their phone!

/me plays Pokemon Red... on my phone
