And what the hell, first, everyone forgets about the mars volta, now everyone hates coheed.
Conclusion: Everyone hates a band when it gets popular.

Only 2? It seems like alot more.

And what the hell, first, everyone forgets about the mars volta, now everyone hates coheed.
I did a "ctrl + F" on each page for "Welcome Home". Only Kif and some other guy, if I remember right.

Mars Volta's new stuff is kinda lame. The few actually songs are tight (although repetitive), but it's a waste of time to listen through 5 minutes of noise in between each song. There's being artsy, and then there's just filler.

I never said I liked Coheed. Before or after they were on MTV and what not.

Only thing I ever like by them was Cuts Marked In The March Of Men (or something like that). The verse is nifty.

I'll still say to this day that Take This To Your Grave is a great album, even though FOB have gotten uber popular since (just an example of a popular band I like).

Conclusion: People like to justify their bad tastes by discrediting people who disagree.

Even though the noise on frances the mute (mars volta) is annoying, ive come to realize that "Miranda, that ghost just isnt holy anymore" doesnt have the same effect when you skip through the 4 minutes of bird noises in the beginning. But yeah, most of it gives me a headache.

Conclusion: I probably just listen to really awful music

I wasn't targeting you, but that is a general trend, you agree?

*hate=like? (I hate FOB)

My taste is impeccable, and if anyone disagrees I don't care :)

This might take a little counting, but nevertheless, keep nominating

Kif 11-05-2005 09:51 AM

Sounds like those were made with a lot of thought :thumb:

Since quite a few people didn't vote for stuff like EP and Live, I'll count theirs anyway, but just for the catagories they nominated for

Angry Balled Fists! 11-05-2005 09:51 AM

Haha, yeah i might edit them, i'm tired...

DJ Ducksauce 11-06-2005 11:24 AM

Kif, I changed my vote on Best song from P!atD to Thrice-The Earth Will Shake. It's on page 2.

Kif 11-06-2005 11:26 AM

I wouldn't worry too much, I haven't even looked at the entries yet. They'll all be counted tomorrow, and then the first poll(s) will be made, depending on how many threads a poll will take up

Mute Print 11-06-2005 11:27 AM

I changed my Best Live Band from Against Me! to Coheed and Cambria.

I saw Coheed on Friday, and they were amazing. Their set may have been the best I've ever seen.

We're going to do this 2 months before the year ends?

Considering Dan is going PPOTY after the year finishes, and how much space this is going to take up, it's being spread until the end of the year.

Eh, yeah..but it's hard to nominate everything good from the year when it isn't over yet.

Nonetheless I'm not running it so I'm not gonna bitch too much. :)
