I've always said I love them and I still say so. They're one of my favorite bands ever, but I agree with the guy above me. They could be so much better than what they are now...
Nooooooooo (slowly, with a raspy voice).

Their music passes on the feeling of their light-heartedness and their constant enjoyment of life to the full while trying to make the world a better place. My friend talked to them a bunch of times, they really know their stuff, apparently.

DrGolovaCroxby 11-03-2005 08:35 PM

i like NOFX. fun band.

Scuba_Steve 11-03-2005 09:15 PM

I remember reading something about El Hefe's past as a guitar player, but I seem to have forgotten.

Why do I think he used to e a blues/jazz player?

babaca 11-03-2005 09:59 PM

...

he wasnt a jazz or blues player. but he played in some wierd fusion-funk rock band be4. and did you also know he was in the bad news bears? ;)

jonny no-name 11-03-2005 11:24 PM

listen to NOFX very early on. saw them live a few years back at warped. fun live but i thought the vandles (sp) were better for the pure fun of the performance. by the way, so long and thanks for all the shoes is their best work.

Drop The Baby 11-04-2005 05:40 AM

New nofx's due out sprinbg next year if they manage to keep to their schedule. I think they've started recording or something, with Bill Stevenson

Hope it's not much like War On Errorism.

clown_phobia 11-04-2005 07:09 AM

My favourite band at the moment, loving them. Punk in drublic is great, and Dinosaurs will die is probably my favourite song by them at the moment.

holy_roller99 11-04-2005 03:55 PM

dinosuars will die is a great song. im currently learning Soul Doubt

clown_phobia 11-04-2005 06:21 PM

DemonicRubberDucky 11-04-2005 07:56 PM

I love thier song "New Boobs"

holy_roller99 11-07-2005 02:55 PM
on which instrument?
fatpunk 11-08-2005 11:18 AM

new boobs, shut up already, S&M airlines, green corn, YDYDYS, mean people suck. I wish they make that kind of song again

fatwreckpunk 11-08-2005 12:34 PM

I think next album they should try and keep it original as it will probably be there last i think

holy_roller99 11-08-2005 03:04 PM
I think next album they should try and keep it original as it will probably be there last i think
who knows. these guys are full of surprises. hopefully they bring back the classic sound they had like punk in drublic or even in white trash, and use some of the sound in pump up the valuum

holy_roller99 11-08-2005 03:06 PM
new boobs, shut up already, S&M airlines, green corn, YDYDYS, mean people suck. I wish they make that kind of song again
and to add even Soul Doubt and The Idiots are taking over. the leads are pretty awesome.

insalubrious 11-08-2005 06:09 PM

that 7inch of t'month club....what a gyp....my clueless amigo signed up for it...he played me a song....bad religion is a really great band...or something like that...glad they could share that with us.

malaki crunch is pretty

*scratches noodle*

i like the solo of that song on their new album....something about hating hate hate haters hating hate and hate stuff hate etc etc it has a "feel" to it.

i have nofx londons burning...i think its called...some live bootleg...its alright...they complain about crass on it, that got me listening to crass, i like crass better than nofx

diego182 11-27-2005 02:32 PM

im getting into nofx, so..what do u recommend of their albums to start with?

Weezerfan_returns 11-27-2005 02:36 PM

Punk In Drublic, White Trash two heebs and a bean...or just get the greatest hits cd, "the greatest songs ever written, by us"

Weezerfan_returns 11-27-2005 02:37 PM
I think next album they should try and keep it original as it will probably be there last i think
I don't think it'll be their last... Does anyone know if the songs from the 7" of the month club will be on the album?.. That would be really dissapointing. :upset:

Their greatest hits album isn't very good. They leave out a lot of their classic songs.

I'd start with Pump Up The Valuum or SLATFATS.

Weezerfan_returns 11-27-2005 02:51 PM

They leave a ton of stuff out, but they have a lot of good songs on there. SLATFATS would be a terrible first nofx album. Although it is pretty good. Buy Punk In Drublic first.

Sweet action. I have to go now.

Looks like next year's gonna be way better than this year.

Rise Me Up 11-27-2005 02:54 PM

Yeah, Rise Against too.

_JR 11-27-2005 04:07 PM

i got all the info somewhere on my computer. hold on

the new albums called "wolves in wolves clothing" i think. wait a bit

_JR 11-27-2005 04:26 PM

here:
From punknews:

AltPress.com is reporting that SoCal skatepunk veterans NOFX have announced a wealth of details on their forthcoming album, Wolves in Wolves' Clothing.

The band will wrap up work on the album, slated for release in April 2006, next week. The disc is set to span 18 songs and 30 minutes, and will contain four songs from the band's recent 7" of the Month Club series, with three in re-recorded form: "Leaving Jesusland," "I'm Going to Hell for This One," "You're Wrong" and "You Lose Your Faith." Several other songs set to appear include "USA-holes" and the working-titled "Harpo, Groucho and Karl," the latter of which Fat Mike describes as "a hip-hop beat with ska/new-wave guitar and a Beatles melody."

In addition, the band has announced that they will embark on a headlining tour in February/March 2006 with label-mates the Lawrence Arms and the Loved Ones. Dates should be announced shortly.

Rise Me Up 11-27-2005 04:59 PM

^^^Awesome. I might go see them on tour and at Warped.

_JR 11-27-2005 05:08 PM

im driving down to chicago in march(3-4 hr. drive) to see them. can't wait because lawrence arms is with them and their not too bad.

and warped stops in milwauke so ill go there.

Jersey's Best Dancer 11-27-2005 10:40 PM

WT,TH,AAB was the first punk album I ever got. I have grown out of them since, kinda too poppy for me now, but i will give them a listen every once in a while. Unfortunently when I saw them at Warped '04 they were the worst band I saw. Timing was **** and the guitars sounded pretty bad. I would still go to see them again tho...

When you say they sucked, do you mean the music? I've heard they're hilarious during they're shows. I probably wouldn't even pay attention to the music ;)

I've always wanted to see them live because of their humor.

yeah, i'd agree because i have seen a lot pf thier live stuff on video. i want to see them because they are one of my most favourite bands ever:D . they are the most amazing band imo and are some of the greatest song writers ever.

draintheblood 11-27-2005 11:58 PM

Lately the bands that try to be funny I end up hated, NOFX was one of the few that really got me laughing. They're poets...in a very very strange way.

"Clams have feelings too..."

i have heard the album is 30 mins long and has like 17/18 songs on it and about 7 of those are 7" of the month tracks including leaving jesus land, you're wrong and a few others, not sure if its confirmed though

TakeWarning 11-28-2005 04:39 AM

Sweet, hope this new album is good. I'm hoping the lyrics are slightly less serious.

fatwreckpunk 11-28-2005 04:42 AM

sounds like they are mellowing out on the politics a bit which seems good

Drop The Baby 11-28-2005 04:57 AM

To whoever asked above, there's going to be three re-recorded and re-written songs from their 7inch of the month thing on the new album

Gnarmageddon 11-28-2005 05:57 AM
I remember reading something about El Hefe's past as a guitar player, but I seem to have forgotten.

He was.

Listen to their cover/parody of 'Straight Edge.' He's got a badass jazz solo in it.

fatwreckpunk 11-28-2005 11:15 AM

el hefe is top knotch, great guitarist with great influences, he is under rated

holy_roller99 11-28-2005 12:56 PM

el hefe is probably the best musician in nofx, even though mike writes the lyrics hefe knows his music stuf.
