The remix songs are not really much different from the original songs. The songs are still class and id say spit it out would be the best. Wat do use think the best live slipknot song is? I would say three nil cse it fukin rules. :cool:

The best live Slipknot song has to be Surfacing or The Heretic Anthem. All their songs are great live, but those two stand out for me.

I don't think Slipknot are talented at all. I've heard people say "ooo, Mick really shreds". Go listen to some Jason Becker or something, and then try to tell me Mick can shred. I've looked at numerous Slipknot tabs and they all digust me. So many people also so Joey is really good at drums. I'm a drummer, and I hear nothing sepcial from him. In fact I don't even think he's that great or original with his drumming. Also, there's the lyrics and song meanings. Most of Slipknot's songs are about depression and suicide, typical nu-metal style. It makes me sick

The Whole 9 Member Thing -

This actually makes me laugh. I find it really funny how Slipknot can have 9 members and play as poorly as they do. I can think of countless bands that sound better than slipknot and play with 5, 4 or even 3 members. I don't get why they need two percussionists, they don't add anything to the music. I saw Duality live on Leno and one of them hit a garbage can. Now that's talent. The whole sampler and DJ thing is stupid too. Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater does all of their samples and plays the keyboard like a god at the same time. Slipknot could have two members and be just about as good. I make better music by myself than Slipknot does with 9 people.


Bad Influence -

Slipknot is typical whiny nu-metal. They are making kids more "depressed" then they already were by making them think life is so hard. I see tons of Slipknot fans that are all dressed in black with chains and spikes and make up. Goth kids make me angry. Suck it up and get a life. Listen to some real metal.

Gimmick -

The MASKS. Wow, you don't want to be recognized in public, big deal. Pay the price for being famous. Maybe if they get rid of those silly costumes they can make some good music while they are at it.

I think it's great with a band that has a different constellation. Bands with two guitarists, a bassplayer and a drummer, maybe a keyboard player if they want to sound more melodic whilst playing their guitar-based rock music focusing on our emotions lyrically and musically... there are plenty of those. And I am aware that one mainly hear guitars and drums on their newest...

And about that mask-thing: guess everyone has to let their label deal with their excuse of an image if they hope to sell some records. It's a business dealing with lots of money, so everyone capabl of getting attention (positive as well as negative) may have a bigger chance to sell records.

TRUE, he did greatly improve on the new album, but still...its not that good, or "brilliant" theyre SICK fvcking riffs, but theyre EASY fvcking riffs. ive been playin guitar for like 5 months, and i can play everything Mick can.

Chris and Sid always beat the crap out of each other on stage. The latter is one crazy f*ck, even lighting himself on fire.
Even though the guitarists' riffs aren't hard for an intermediate guitarist, the solos on Vol. 3 do kick some serious ***. And people complaining about a band having nine members just don't realize the dynamic that they put in the music together.
And then there's Joey. That's reason enough.

Seems like everyone forgot Gently, off MateFeedKillRepeat. Excellent song and very different from their current stuff.

I've heard many Slipknot songs. Joey hasn't impressed me, I'm sorry. All of you seem to love him, but I don't see it. He's good, yeah, and he works with the band, but he's nothing to write home about. Plus I HATE his drum sound. Slipknot's production in genreal is really bad sounding. Maybe they'd be a better band if they lost 4 or 5 members, tuned their guitars up a bit, and starting writing about some different things. (KoRnered? :lol: )

I could'nt hve said it better. I mean just look at there tabs. There's like three notes in them and they do the whole drop C crap. Two words Slipknot, STANDARD TUNING. They hide there hideous faces so when people relize how much they suck, they may be able to walk around in public. A band needs a Lead Guitarist, a Rhythem Guitarist, a drummer, and a bassist. And maybe like 2 more members for some different instruments. But 9? What a joke. Screaming into a mic isnt talent, the singers probably as good as anyone at singing so he roars into the mic. The lyrics are a joke too. "Slit your throat and F*ck the wound" You gotta be kidding. A drunk sixth grader on crack with mental issues could write more clever lyrics. Either they need to give there band a LOT of work, or they can have their little goth fans for awhile 'till the get jobs and lives and relize that music is more than just loud guitars and screaming. Heavy metal has those, yes, but good heavy metal also needs good songwriting and technical talent or something close to it. The drummer may be good, I'm not the best at knowing a good drummer cause I listen to guitar and singing mainly, but I know a talented band when I hear one and Slipknot fall short.
