When I was little, I loved my cassette of Ninja Turtles. I'm not ashamed of that, IT'S SOOO COOOL. There was a lot of song on Pizza and stuff like that, pretty awesome

Dizzy Bassist 07-31-2004 08:54 AM

Good Charlotte, a sad day for music :upset:

deldelda 07-31-2004 08:54 AM

backstreet and nsync ... it's twice as bad, so I guess you CAN shoot me ...

Civer 07-31-2004 09:31 AM

Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. Hey, I was less than 10, I think. I guess that's it. The other stuff I used to listen to wasn't terrible (Savage Garden are still pretty good to listen to), and I'm not one of those trendy Blink-haters (or Blink-lover.) Blink-182 is decent, and the Buddha album is still good, too.

Anyway...i totally regret listening to Linkin Park and N*Sync.

I've since moved onto much better things...(ska ska ska!!! oh...and punk...but still...ska!)

RevDem 07-31-2004 05:23 PM

I used to like most alternative music on MTV/VH1/Radio, and there are still some bands like Jimmy Eat World and Weezer that I still respect.

Rycycle 07-31-2004 05:25 PM

Where do I start? The usuals i.e. Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit etc.

but there was also OPM (**** that Heaven is a Halfpipe)

and Gorillaz (yup those lil cartoon monkeys)

But i was really into them at the time so there's no huge regret - they were a stepping stone into the music that I listen to now.

blizzardofozz90 07-31-2004 08:17 PM

i used to listen to linkin park... no coment.
i cant think of anything else. some parents think rock is evil, but if i brought home a country album or classical, my dad would be like wheres the rock??? i could sing ozzy when i was 5.

Lifes_Meaning 07-31-2004 08:31 PM

hmm....has to be rap, but that was six years ago before i got my first metallica cd...ROCK ON!

irbsk8ing 07-31-2004 08:36 PM

mine would be blink182, limp bizkit, good charlette, and prolly somemore bands i cant remember

lpsoxfan88 07-31-2004 10:18 PM

I'm not going to say I'm "ashamed", but I have no respect for them or their music anymore...

Good Charlotte (who else?!)

Nra4ever_17 07-31-2004 10:25 PM

Simple...plan. Ick. I am so glad I got that off my chest....

LOAfan 07-31-2004 11:48 PM

Creed, any pop group that I used to listen to, Linkin Park, any country person I used to listen to way back in the day...lol, KISS, those are probably the only bands I'm ashamed of. Oh yeah, Limp Bizkit.

METALbassist_101 08-01-2004 12:19 AM

Yeah, everyone's like "when I was little I listened to Good Charlotte" even though they've been around like... two, three years maybe? same with Avril

but I never made the mistake of liking either 'artist'

AmericanWeiner 08-01-2004 01:07 AM

I dunno, I was into a lot of pop-punk about a year ago. It was just a phase though, I went from nu-metal -> grunge -> pop-punk -> punk -> metal -> everything in one school year...it was a very rough time.

FlamingCouch 08-01-2004 01:08 AM
Green Day. It was the first rock band I ever liked...I was 12 then, dreaming to be a rock star.
I still like Green Day... and Blink... and U2... and Smash Mouth... ****, lotsa people hate what I like...

I've got the worst one. In grade school, I liked this pop thing called take that... man that was pretty queer... catchy shit though

Oh and MetallicaFreak, they're entitled to their own opinions.

PS - I suck in your eyes too. :thumb:
Blink 182.
But then I put Black Flag´s "Damaged" on my record player and I realized how I was losing my time listening to three almost 30-year-olders talking about first dates.
It's funny that your username is Hurley, a brand blink wears and is sponsored by, but your "30-year-olders talking about first dates" comment was hilarious, so props to you.

And Slrainox, blink's two albums (if you mean Cheshire and Dude Ranch, not Cheshire and Buddha) were the best, I agree wholly. Buddha's good too though.

But compared to aaron carter, DMX is Beethoven, so don't feel so bad about that one.

.,...Aaron Carter? Yeesh.... sorry for ya, phew...

Didn't know either of those two, haven't heard Hurley as a last name before. Where're you from?

Just to clarify that I wasn't ragging on the guy, I just found it odd.

Hm, good point.

I don't hate that others dig it, my drummer's big on Charlotte, Simple Plan, etc., but I just never got into it
