adrianman 01-25-2009 08:48 PM

imo deloused and bedlam in goliath is there best work. although i really havent listened to the whole frances the mute yet. amputechture is just not my cup of tea

Already_Taken 01-25-2009 10:26 PM

at the drive-in was the pinnacle of TMV. their cd's have gotten worse in a linear fashion from the beginning.

ok lateralus 01-25-2009 10:32 PM

^Agree with every word.

Underachiever 03-18-2009 06:28 PM

The singing is kind of annoying sometimes, but the music itself is brilliant.

oracrest 04-03-2009 02:14 PM

I think its all good. I enjoy Agadez, Ouroborous, and Goliath quite a bit off the bedlam album.

I have been digging their scab dates album too. I like to throw that one on for road trips or biking around town or something.

shindip 04-03-2009 06:21 PM

shindip 04-04-2009 01:09 PM

Ya scabdates is meh. De loused is kind of boring IMO. Still pretty good though.

adrianman 04-06-2009 07:23 PM
one every two years? not really
kitsch 04-17-2009 08:26 PM
old money and calibration are just as good
yeah they are. i like calibration the best prob but i was just listening to that one at the time of posting.

horseypie 04-17-2009 10:23 PM
4 in 4 years is quite a lot if you ask me
its not that bad
because when you look at it, they had a year break before frances and a year break before bedlam in goliath which are their best albums
so judging by this trend the new album wont be very good

oathfbass 04-24-2009 03:04 PM
I listened to like a minute of the first song on Deloused and couldn't take it. I skipped to the middle of the cd and it was the same song. Case closed.
You should sit down and listen to the whole thing through before you make a judgement. I did that with Bedlam and it began to grow on me. After that it was smooth sailing with their previous albums.

In regards to their latest album I heard it was supposed to be accoustic.

Jaundice 04-24-2009 03:28 PM

I always enjoyed Amputecture. Apparently I was alone in that regard.

oathfbass 04-24-2009 09:25 PM

Same here. I would rank it before Bedlam

adrianman 04-24-2009 09:33 PM

did anyone here the new song "Cotopaxi"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k27zWq95rk
acoustic album my ***

oathfbass 04-25-2009 08:39 AM

Yeah I heard it earlier and posted an article.

I'm glad it's not just only acoustic, but there hasn't been any sax/wind so far so maybe that's what they mean.

in the press realease they dont mention the sax player. so hes probably not on the album

Spaceman Spiff 04-25-2009 09:06 AM

It's an awesome song.

As a side note, has anyone listened to Cryptomnesia? It's a really good album.
And I don't think it sound like TMV at all.
And I definitely prefer Pridgen's drumming to Zach Hill's.
