It was clearly stated.
|
Breakdown is
*arpeggiated tone-centered-chords* *vocal line, with something cliché like "leaving you behind" or "i'm done the world is fear" or anything containing the words pain, leave, hate, love, behind, going, you, me, in CLEAN VOCALS (very important)* *crescendo* *back to chorus* |
Or where it slows down majorly, most of the time.
|
that's in punk/hardcore
|
breakdowns are just bridges wtf ever.
|
I like a lot local bands which mix up metalcore, death metal, black metal and Melodic Death Metal. But yeah I love KSE, As I Lay Dying, Flood Of Red, Converge and Botch.
|
words pain, leave, hate, love, behind, going, you, me,
Haha, you, me. As I Lay Dying are allright. For generic stuff its aight, but Converge and Botch are pioneers
If it has breakdowns it's metalcore.
Which brings me back to my Converge argument.
Not metalcore.
Well, its Metal with, uhhh...well, maybe a lil bit Metalcore. |
Does anyone like It Dies Today?
|
No.

Scene kids with bad taste and Matt, yes. |
Just listen to Coalesce.
|
Well, its a gulity pleasure of mine, Along with The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying (to a certain extent). lawl. I just flushed all my good music tatses down the toilet with that one.
|
I don't mind a song or two from Devil Wears Prada. It Dies Today reeks of terrible though. And while I'm being honest, I don't have anything against As I Lay Dying. Forever and Song 10 are both good songs, and there's a few cool riffs on Shadows Are Security. I wouldn't ever listen to more than a couple songs though.
Coalesce would be so awesome if they had a good vocalist. |
My god. Im gonna state the obviosu here. They may not be metalcore, or maybe just slightly, but Kezia by Protest The Hero is just...godly.
|
Coalesce are ACE!
I just have Functioning on Impatience but it's perfect. |
Except for the annoying clean vocals. They have a nice sense of urgency in them though.
|
The clean ones are weird, but I can stand them.

I need to check those guys out, but idk if i need anymore metalcore. I have about 500+ songs of it. 300+ death metal. 300+ other metal.
|
Oh and check out all else failed.

The only "metalcore" band I enjoy is Converge.
|
Why did you put "metalcore" in quotations?
