By Megaman do you mean The Wizard?

ITRIEDVOODOOONCE 10-12-2005 12:48 PM

It's from the Wizard.

Nintendo movie.

You're stupid.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 10-12-2005 07:52 PM

The one where the kid goes to a Super Mario Bros. competition?

TojesDolan 10-13-2005 05:55 PM

Do you mean that crazy TV show with the kid that had a belt buckle like-nintendo-controller? That was cool.

He had super jump if he pressed A.

SubtleDagger 10-13-2005 06:05 PM
How about that Burt. I'm definitely going.
Yeah, I knew about the movie and have already seen it. It's very good, though it kind of doesn't focus on Darger's life enough.

You should tell people about my stuff.

ATC 10-13-2005 06:51 PM

Voting thread?

Dancin' Man 10-13-2005 07:22 PM

Rock on for Benjamin and songs about aliens.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 10-13-2005 08:05 PM

I think I'm worse off for having read that. Much worse.

Crimsonpunk 10-14-2005 04:55 PM

Being an idiot, I don't know how to vote, I take it I just post the names and add the orders later, yeah??

RunAmokRampant 10-14-2005 06:41 PM

Read the rules mate.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 10-14-2005 07:43 PM

Give a small critique and then a number ranking. Don't vote for yourself.

Dancin' Man 10-16-2005 07:59 PM

ITRIEDVOODOOONCE - Should I bother checking out From a Second Story Window? Your name is the only song I heard and I can't decide if I like it or not.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 10-17-2005 12:21 AM

Anyone have any Iron and Wine CD's/EP's other than Our Endless Numbered Days? I'll trade over AIM, 2300 songs.

Crimsonpunk 10-17-2005 05:53 AM

Runamokrampant,
I think I deserve a small crit for being voted last, just because i'm not a fan of over poetic bullshit

Dancin' Man 10-17-2005 08:16 AM

treasonreason

I'd like one too please.

Sonnet - No but I heard them once through forced listening. I think I'll check them out further.

Lowest place is dropped, and I've already decided I'm not voting you last.

well i seem to love that song and the rest are more or less the same, but that song is kinda their epic. Listen to how london got its fog, or the challenge of caring for a better understanding of their average.

Thrice - Vheissu Review
Thats gotta be the longest review I've ever read. I heard the first four Thrice songs off their new album from their myspace page and thought it would be a good album worthy of my collection, so I am going to buy it as soon as I see it. :thumb:

RunAmokRampant 10-18-2005 01:32 AM

Crimsonpunk - Well since you've already condemned this piece by saying you only spent 15 minutes on it which reveals the minimal effort made. The piece overall lacked substance and there is no lyrical flair to it and words such as "Cataclysmic seizures" make it bland. The figurative language which is used doesn't seem to elicit any strong images in my mind due to the blandness. Im sorry but this I dislike and maybe you should rework the entry more and add to it and make it better instead just slapping something together. And obviously you can tell I hate 15 minute attempts.

Dancin Man - I'll do your's later when I have time.

Dancin' Man 10-18-2005 05:03 AM

DFelon - Thrice have released some fairly awful songs with a real nu-metal touch to them. Does this album do that from the most un-biased mouth you have.

Crimsonpunk 10-18-2005 07:08 AM

Hmmm. That sounds pretty fair to me, touche to you, sir.
I think we should have 'freestyle lyrical challenges' Where everyone is given five or ten minutes to come up with a piece, of course, there would be no way of telling whether people were cheating, Damn!

Dancin' Man 10-18-2005 09:13 AM

when I say nu-metal, I'm thinking of the song Sillhouette in particular.

IanEye 10-18-2005 09:30 AM

Has anyone actually particapated in a game of Monopoly which came to a complete and correct ending?

Dancin' Man 10-18-2005 07:33 PM

OK, I listened again and it's a good song, except for the nu-metal part. They're a catchy band is for sure, but somethign about them annoys me, like they could do it so much better if they wanted to.

lol, thats what i was going to say about your mom.

Dancin' Man 10-18-2005 07:42 PM

u r so clever... she could too. I don't know, they just seem like they are better songwriters than they let themselves be. I just have a thing against hearing certain parts too many times in a song, especially when it's the worst part of a song. Also, I didn't judge them lyrically because I amde a comment about the music and the music and words are different. They are both important, but remain seperate entities in a song.
