Yes, they do.
|
Fran's voice is terrible.
I like how his voice contrasts with Ben's. Plus he's got a sick scream. I'll admit about FOB, this one really annoying girl at my school loves them, and I think that kinda made me biased against them. |
TSD no your not the only one, some other people said they hated them!
Do Fall Out Boy do a song called "Yule Shot Your Eye Out"???
Yeah, and it's awesome. It's like; FOB tongue-in-cheek lyrics + acoustic guitar + Xmas theme and jingle bells I'll post it up in a minute |
Yeah but what album is it on?
It's my fav. FOB song definitely! |
It's not on any album, it's just a song they made for Christmas
|
Oh, thats why i was wondering if it was one of theres! Yeah it rocks though!
|
yea i heard em for the first time a couple weeks ago, first song i heard was Dead On Arrival and i think that they're an awesome band
|
Yeah there really great, i'm gonna get more of their stuff!
|
fall out boy sucks one nut.
|
Why?
|
ok, just because their lead singer has a high voice doesnt mean he has no balls, seriously. The man has a great voice, and if you think it sucks, its probably becauase he doesnt scream in every song. Good singing takes talent, screaming doesnt, thats what babies do because they havent developed the ability to talk. Not that i hate all screaming, the used and mcr have some good stuff, but singing well requires talent.
|
Screaming takes a huge amount of talent, hence how there are more bands with people that have good singers than bands that have good screamers.
The singing in bands such as Fallout Boy and coheed and Cambria is awful, IMO |
i never said the screaming in fob is good, i tend to skip over it because it isnt as good as screaming in other bands, maybe its just my opinion, but i do prefer singing to screaming.
|
Patrick doesn't scream at all, Andrew the drummer does.
I agree with James though; FOB's screaming does get on my nerves a lot. Screaming has no place in a band like this, and it just was never going to be pulled off well. And I wasn't aware there was screaming in Co&Ca? |

And I wasn't aware there was screaming in Co&Ca?
There is, its very raspy singing tone in some songs and a full on scream in others. Listen towards the end of 'Hearshot Kid Disaster' and the second part of 'Junesong provision' (is it ALL!!). Mostly there was just screaming on second stage turbine blade, not alot was on IKSOSE. |
Ahhh, I haven't listened to SSTB that much. I only remember it on IKSOSE:3 on "The Velorium Camper III: Al The Killer"
|

And the interlude part from Three evils (Following you, across the interstate walking away!) could be considered screaming. |
Whoooo< Falln Our Boy!!!!!!!!!!! I Love Em!!!!!! I Only Have 5 Songs But I Love Em!!!!!!!!!
|
I think that a lot of people prefer TTTYG because it was their breakthrough album and because it carries the raw feel along with the poppy riffs and typical FOB lyrics. FUTCT is a lot more polished and "quality-perfect", but you still get that FOB sense of pop-punk with it.
I like both equally I think, maybe leaning towards TTTYG a little more because it has some of my favourite FOB songs on it. Then again, so does FUTCT
where would one find that mash up, sounds interesting |

I downloaded it from limewire. |
sry, what does FA stand for?
i suppose its full autobio? |
Featured Artist
and i'm starting to like them  |
OH NO
I love them now... |
Yes, ha ha, you have been enthrawled!
|
I think I was the same way that Dan is... I just thought they were so-so at first, now I am in love with them. Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner is a great song, and so is Dead On Arrival. I think Patricks voice is good, not annoying.
|
Patrick has a great voice. Listen to 'Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner' or 'A Little Less Sixteen Candles... and you can tell right away.
|
I don't see how his voice is high pitched...like at all. In fact really he goes deep a lot, like in "Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner" like people have been saying. His voice isn't really high pitched at all.
|
His voice is VERY high pitched on Take this to your grave
|
Its higher, but its not VERY high pitched. Its nothing compared to Rufio, Coheed and Cambira, Circa Survive, Anatomy of a Ghost, The All-American Rejects, Copeland, Saves the Day, Motion City Soundtrack and a ton of other bands. Its just another reason people use to talk shit about them cause they're on MTV and its not "cool" to like a band on MTV.
|
Listen to him on "Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying" on the last chorus, and he is still hitting the high notes at the end. Patrick's voice is powerful, and I think that's a reason people don't like him. People tend to have a problem with bands who can sing (The Used instantly come to mind), which I find a bit weird
