Heck yea, levins the man.
hey jim, perhaps you could help me out. i hear alot about levins technical skill and i definitely respect him as a bassist, but i dont hear anything that stands out as amazing. i own both lte cds, discipline, and a few other things with him on them and i just dont get it.

as for my list:

vocals: chris cornell
lead guitar: jeff beck
rythym/2nd lead: eric clapton
bass: john entwistle
keyboards: jon lord or rick wakeman
drums: vinnie colaitu or dennis chambers

im a classic rock junkie.

and that group would probably sound terrible together.

Good choices.....why only Corey before Vol. 3? I thought his voice sounded great on that album (although I must admit his screaming was best on the self-titled album).

Nice icon btw....that episode of Family Guy was actually on TV tonight

the_hollow 02-22-2005 01:02 AM

Maynard James Keenan - Vocals
Adam Jones - Lead Guitar
Munky - Rythm Guitar
Les Claypool - Bass
Danny Carey - Drums

LostInMusic464 02-22-2005 01:11 AM

Great choice on bass hollow. Claypool was someone I was thinking of.

isp_of_doom 02-22-2005 03:51 AM

i find it funny how some people basically chose a band that already exists....its odd

Vocals: (any of, depending on what type of music id write)
clean: DT guy, or Maynard (tool)
rock/death metal: Alexi Laiho all the way
powermetal: Chic from Nightwish

Guitars (lead/rhythm)
alexi laiho to do gat as well (cus he can)
Dragonforce guitarist

Bass:
Cliff Burton I guess (havent really thought about it)

Drums
ooh the fun ...
Scott Columbus (Manowar...just listen to achilles, agony and extasy - i think thats what its called)

:D
My superband.

Moriason 02-22-2005 05:18 AM

Vocals:
- Greg Lake

Bassist:
- John Entwistle

Guitarist:
- Hrm...Robert Fripp?
He's not the most amazing, he's just a prog musician, and if I made a band it would be prog.

If you wanna throw other parts in there, it'd be:

Keyboard:
- Keith Emerson

Drums:
- Carl Palmer

So basically ELP and a few other guys. Entwistle so Lake can focus entirely on singing, and Fripp so Lake can again focus entirely on singing or rhythm. Give 'em a taste of the KC days.
