Freak Kitchen...

They are an experimental rock band from Sweden. Their singer/guitarist is INSANE, and very original. The lyrics are usually pretty comedic as well...

For a taste, download the song "Propoganda Pie"...

Bolded the ones I recognize and know to be superb. Agalloch got the underline treatment for being especially great.

I've heard of Alabama Thunderpussy.

Devil Inferno 02-03-2005 05:05 AM

at fast fingers :

Elvenking
Agalloch (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check these guys out)
Bal-Sagoth
Furia
Green Carnation
Iniquity

i've heard those before. bal-sagoth is really underated, even though they are cheesy (on par or better than rhapsody), they're pretty good.

agalloch is like opeth, yes please check them out.
Iniquity has crazy vocals, they're probrably popularized by ebaumworld's death metal karaoke.

i've also heard ETOS, i have most of their albums on my comp right now. they make CoF look like the teletubies.

also

Delian League (prog)
Descent Into Madness (?) (can be found on soundclick)
Illnath (melo black)
Crimson Moonlight (black metal)
Dead Elizabeth (black/death)
Borknagar (don't see them being mentioned. power/black metal)
Dark Lunacy (symphonic death)
Heavenly (power metal)
Ephel Duath (jazz metal)
Falconer (folk, power metal)

Kadenzza = really cool japanese metal. It's some solo guy but not Uematsu.

TheSubtleArts 02-04-2005 09:38 PM

Kaligo
Stomp Engine
Out of Hate
Falling Stars Burn Bright

twenty inch burial - they are from spain, i don't know if they are well known but i would like to know if there is some place that i can purchase their new album?
No they are not from Spain. They are from Portugal. One country to the left. Big difference though. But since you're probably American, you are excused.

http://www.twentyinchburial.com
http://www.ragingplanet.web.pt/new/store.htm - you can order their album there.

Bazarov 12-29-2005 04:34 PM

Hacksaw to the Throat.

Think Black Dahlia style music. Atleast that's who they remind me of, I personally like them more that Black Dahlia.
Cattle Decapitation, Knife Fight, Pissing Razors, Euthanasia, Fatal Liquidation, Kaptain Sun, Avernal.

All I can think of right now. :upset:
They're super popular down in San Diego. I personally don't really like them. Though Travis is quite humorous on stage.

Txus 12-29-2005 04:43 PM

I know tons of Latin American/spanish bands that no one (at least in here) know about their existance....Tierra Santa, Avalanch, Sober, Ska-p, Mago De Oz, Hamlet, Timmy o' Tool, Baron Rojo, A.NI.M.A.L., Carajo, Andromeda, Viernes Verde, La Tona, Extincion, Bada, Post, Los Ultimos Adictos, Heroes Del Silencio, Ivory, Celtas Cortos.
