After the angry Christmas chore
Of shopping, shoving, and shouting
At the local department store,
An imaginary bell rings
In every shopper’s ear.

Exhausted, the yuletide soldiers file out
While the guards close at the rear.

Gingerbread houses of cinnamon and cider
Line the alleyway
Decorated with jellybean red and banana peels

He’s packaged himself into a gingerbread box
Jellybean lights included
On the box.

How can you give.
If all you’ve ever gotten is the sucking frost
And hunger pains.

But he shore luvs rum.
Wont you give him some?

In his old neighborhood
The Christmas lights stay on.
They never fade
For they keep robbers out

Inside
Past the stuffed stockings
Innocence has passed
It jumped out a window
10 stories up

Santa stuffed her stocking until it bled
Innocence got it’s throat sliced

He stole her presents
He’s gotsta git his fix

At six, Dorah and James arise
To find their little sleeping suzy sprawled out on the floor

A shredded stocking
And a big ticket to the big sleep with a permant bed

A polished vessel
Sheathed in oak
To hide burnt dreams and melted frost

Quite the Christmas Gift
From good ole' Saint Nick.
Apathy has it’s own prize.

Santa goes to town and sees that the tooth fairy has found some teeth.
Luckily, she doesn’t use them herself.
The tooth fairly loves candy canes, though.
Santa gets his santa stick sucked for 15 bucks and a hit of crack.

Have a squiz at the songs in there, they all seem to be depressing ones, taking a rather cynical approach to Christmas (mine included). I pulled that one up just sitting at the computer at 1 in the morning, so it's not bad considering that, I think. One of the entries (by MomentaryHappiness) is just plain ****ed up, with Santa raping a young girl. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, or that people shouldn't write that stuff - just that it's really twisted.

I might have a go at a happy one after my somewhat morbid approach to my first attempt. I'll see how much time I have...

Here is mine, I wrote this a few days before christmas, I hope it meets the requirements :)

The Paper Gift Wrap is just Kindling for the Holocaust

The Yule logs crackle as the hot embers spit forth,
It lands between me and her, and the fire catches my eye.
The only thing separating us is the mistletoe, I lean to kiss,
But as soon as the thought of love crosses my mind,
The blanket ignites and the heat makes me flinch away.
Coal erupts from the chimney like a volcano for vengeance,
The paper gift wrap is just kindling for the holocaust;
As I try to wake her up, I realize the towers of flames
Engulf the pine tree of Christmas as our hopes burn away...
The paper gift wrap is just kindling for the holocaust;
No chance of escaping as the snow falls through the blackened timbers
Glistening and melting before hitting the charred carpet, like glitter in a snow globe.
So hold me close darling, this is another holiday myth for the kids to tell...
"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays....."
