oh... mines full time... its just crammed into 3 days a week... next year I have to go 4days though coz its my diploma year. its like 22.5 hours a week plus outside study...
And the government pays me to study... AUS$380 a fortnight.... thankyou Australia. (its not really very much when you have to support yourself tho...) |
Oh that sucks...I am on full ride so I am sorta supported like that. I am taking 15 credit hours next semester, 17 this semester, but I have 4 years to get my degree and I have Junior standing so it works out well. Sounds like a nice deal though, I am trying to get a EE spec. SE, so we'll see how that goes.

^ Why are you on a full ride Zep.?

National Merit something or other...nothing special, just some test I did well on in 10th grade or so. It's nice though since Cornell gave me nilch as far as fin aid goes and they are 44k per year, I go to ASU instead and go for free, good deal. |

Sorry...I thought that part sparked a little interest. Musta been my crack pipe. I will change the score accordingly....3/10 |
If you put in the money now though Cornell get you immediate hjob offers is whatever field you want because it's ivy league. I discovered recently that my school is the 5th most trusted school for the top 3 ivy league grad schools (Princton, Yale, and Harvard) on admission and that's behind Yale, Harvard, and Princeton themselves as well as Stanford. That means I can have a B average and still tear it up on recommendations and the virtue that I'm cool for going here in the first place. Although... ASU has really hot girls while mine are mediocre but all pretty smart.
Yes, hotter girls and, to be honest, All my advisors have all but assured me I am going for free to an ivy for grad school, so meh. |

yeah, nz is a ****hole so? |
sorry, i didnt know.
Why do they pay you to study? Is that to promote higher education? Cool idea.
Kinda... but Its mostly becoz I'm a junkie-bum and my Dad lives in the States (and doesn't pay to look after me) and my mums on Single Parent Pension (My parents have been divorced all my life) and my mum has a 4 yearold daughter to look after and my sisters Dad (not my dad, my sister is only half-blood) is an arsehole who wont pay maintainance and is a f.ckwit and deserves to die becoz he advocates womens rights then beats my mum up to a point where she gets put in hospital and has to have treatment on her spine in order to be able to do anything without excruitiating pain and I live about 700kms away becoz of study (my mum lives in a rural area... Australia has a lot of empty space between cities...) and I have to support myself and pay rent and bills and food and deal with life on my own.... Thankgod Australia classifies you as an adult when your 18 and not 21 like in the states otherwise I would be f.cked and still living at home dealing with the fallout from my sisters dad's bullsh.t and would probably have killed myself by now. Thats why the government pays me money.... apparently its called Youth Allowance. I call it "So your lifes f.cked up to a point of no-return allowance." |
i beat u to it dfelon
head to alt/indie forums :P |

6945, the vawes bit was me trying to be clever and failing. sane people do not read the first letter of a few phrases and use them as abbreviations. |

|
It's so good. I listened too it 20 times in a row last night.
|
Not to say it wasnt good... it was a bloody good song... i'm just saying it in comparison to your other songs, it just didnt live up.
Don't be voting on my songs in comparison to my other songs, because I honestly don't give a shit what you think of it compared with my other material. Vote on how good it is compared to the songs in the challenge. |
how about the r&m forums then :P
|
btw, i'm not VOTING in comparison to ur other songs, i'm CRITing (yes i know thats not a word) in comparison to ur own songs
ranks and ratings were not effected |
^^ The word is critiquing stoopid.
.... Ignore me I'm just being stupid. |
hmmm.. its been a while since i've witnessed your bizarre style of songwriting. You definately have HUGE talent, but wether it communicates to the audience/reader or not, obviously is subjective, but in the case of your style will influence this aspect negatively. Lyrically and poetically, notthing short of amazing tho. I really like the intro (for its originality, and fresh approach) and the chorus.
RE: "Bizarre style of songwriting" - I definately take that as a compliment; Bizarre is one of my main objectives. Re: My Style making it difficult to communicate to the audience. - I also take this as a compliment. I'm not trying to communicate to everyone, those that can appreciate and find their own within my pieces are the people that I want to read my pieces... For those that can't find meaning or appreciate my work; I don't care much for those people and would rather they never experienced my work in the first place. "HUGE talent" - Thankyou. Yes, I am rather huge :naughty:  |
the first definately WAS a complement... i always seem to use regular 4 line stanzas throughout my songs, and ppl probably get tired of seeing the same format every time
the second was neither. It means that your peice is completely interpretive (which is definately a good thing), but might become far too enigmatic (if that is a word) to ppl who dont have much an open mind. |
yep... I know what you were saying... I was saying that I feel complimented by that comment.
|
So, how about them there top 500 rankings. I didn't make top 100. Oh well.

Really? That's a shame, I do say. A lot of people did better than I expected though, and a few did worse. |

I just saw Murder by Death and The Arcade Fire @ the bossanova in Portland, OR.
The line up was: Fembots then Murder by Death then Arcade Fire with The Weakerthans headlining. Fuk.... The Arcade Fire was fuking cool; I love it when a band thats NOT the headliner blows the headliner out of the water and people debate whether or not its even worth staying to listen to the headliner and half the crowd leaves.... The Weakerthans... Oh My God you guys suk, how dare you headline a bill where every single band is better than you (Fembots included... and they play crappy NW country inspired pop) Murder by Death was really cool as well... The spoken word is coming back!! |
