This is true.

Though I think they could have had the same success with Pete instead of Ringo.

Well whatever, Ringo's awesome (period)

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:38 PM

No, its the other 3 that made the beatles, Ringo have very little input into the band. The first song he wrote was Don't Pass Me By off of the White Album.

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:38 PM
I hear from him on Thomas the Tank Engine. Did you know he is the voice for the conducter???:)
I just dont think it would be the same without him though.

Back when they were still around Ringo was the most popular Beatle.

There are always reruns.:)

Musically I don't think it would matter, but personality wise there would be a difference.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 11-24-2004 08:42 PM

they probably still would have been successful with Pete, but Ringo seemed more connected with the other three than Pete

TMA 11-24-2004 08:42 PM

Honestly, I think the Beatles are one of the most overrated bands ever.
And of course, now after saying that, I'm gonna get a bunch of whiney *** bitches who are going to try to argue with me and try to convince me that they don't actually suck.
Save it people. I have an iron will, and I tend to not listen to the opinions of people who listen to crap... like... I don't know... The Beatles.

I dont know. I dont think they needed a good drummer. His style fit perfectly. And With a Little Help From My Friends wouldn't be as good.

Wish I was as cool as you.

People who say this usually don't understand the influence the beatles had.

enpsychopedia 11-24-2004 08:45 PM

The Beatles pwn all other bands that ever existed ever.

you're entitled to your own opinion but could you please express it somewhere else?

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:48 PM

He gave no reasons for his opinoin, therefore he based off of nothing and is trying to act like he has musical intelligence by not likeing the Beatles.

doesnt matter George Martin didn't like him. Pete was a ****ty drummer

and George Harrison is the best Beatle

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 08:50 PM

I bet he's never heard any Beatles songs. Most people who don't like them haven't heard anything by them and only assume that they aren't very good.

Espeacially when they don't make any valid points.

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:50 PM

Exaclty what I said. He is just trying to be a rebel.

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 08:52 PM

Anyways, I've read two versions of the Beatles' biography. One from '72 and the othr from 1997 :p. They were pretty different, obviously.

The Pilot 11-24-2004 08:52 PM

I know what you mean. A lot of people try to pass off The Beatles as nothing more than an early pop band as an excuse not to rescpect them. Listening to any of their stuff from Revolver onward clearly shows this not the case.

TMA 11-24-2004 08:53 PM

... Right...
I saw a forum about the Beatles, so I decided to express my opinion on them.
As for the other things I have said, this has not been the first time I have expressed this opinion, so I already know the reactions of other people. People will go on and on and on and try to make me change my opinion and all they suceed at doing is annoying the hell out of me. So, to try to save people the time, I added in all that other stuff I said.

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:53 PM

I need to pick one up.

Revolver is their best album IMO. I love their pshycadelic albums.

Exactly, they dont look pass the boys in suits on the Ed Sullivan show. I beleive Rubber Soul was the biggest turning point in their career.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 11-24-2004 08:55 PM

what amazes me about the Beatles is how they evolved...if you listen to each album from Please Please Me to Abbey Road you can notice change on almost every album

... You sad little person. Do you really think that?
I go to a mostly Hippie school. My teachers have made us sing songs by the Beatles at all school gatherings. My old government teacher would put a Beatles record on in the middle of class, and ever since the fourth grade, I have constantly been stuck in classes with the same group of little Beatle loving girls.
Oh, and my parents listen to classic "rock" radio stations.
You think I'm stating my opinion without every even knowing what I'm talking about? Let me tell you: No. I'm basing my opinion off of everything I have ever heard.

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 08:57 PM

That is one reason for why they are so admired, and their ability include multiple facets of musianship on each album.

I wish I went to your school.

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 08:58 PM

Yup, catchy pop songs to musical genius ;). They're one of the only bands that actually got better with time and their best stuff was right around when the broke up :)
