Trust me, if you haven't heard Lord Worm before, Lord Worm > the other guy.
Go listen to Phobophile and tell me the other guy is better
Ha I have heard Lord Worm before, I just think on that demo he isnt far of Mike Disalvio, it just prooves how produced his vocals must be

LeperAffinity 07-05-2005 05:24 PM

Cephalic Carnage dropped off the tour a few weeks ago.

trev913 07-05-2005 06:18 PM

The one song I heard I liked.

extreme_191 07-05-2005 07:47 PM

How does a double blast beat work? I mean I'm not a drummer, but that term stops me in my tracks.

RetiredAt21 07-05-2005 07:58 PM

I'd like to hear this double blast beat.

eXykO 07-05-2005 08:06 PM

Where I live, it's gonna be Cryptopsy, Aborted, Suffocation, Vader and Despised Icon.

Cryptopsy is amazing. Lord Worm is the best death metal vocalist.

Oh man! I'd cream myself if I went to that concert.

impaled 07-05-2005 09:24 PM

The double blastbeat is actually a one-hand roll or gravityblast, used quite commonly by most extreme brutal deathmetal bands. Such as origin, brodequin etc.
Here's a link of Johnny Rabb showing the one-hand roll technique.

So what Lord Worm meant was the gravityblast, which I think Flo has confirmed in some interviews.

relliK 07-05-2005 09:57 PM

I think Necrophagist does that gravityblast. It sure sounds like it at least.

Parfait 07-05-2005 09:57 PM

Best death metal band? Maybe.

RiceMonster 07-05-2005 10:06 PM
Best death metal band? Maybe.
Nope, Lykathea Aflame has that title. :p

Parfait 07-06-2005 12:54 AM

I still haven't listened to them. I need to fix that.

Concubine 04-19-2006 07:17 AM

Instrumentally, they brilliant, but the vocals just turned me off

DiSalvo's vocals I found rather easy to get into...

Lord Worm is more of, ah, an acquired taste. :p
