yes yes, i've seen just as many raging insane fans of "the knot" (gag) as you have, but i don't remember any ever calling them the heaviest or fastest. Im sure their are plenty who said they were best, but i dont recall heaviest or fastest ever being said.

thank you. SlipKnot is my favorite band. but theyre NOT the heaviest or fastest. in my opinion, the heaviest band would be Premonitions of War and the fastest....hmm...maybe Pig Destroyer.....

Slipknot - best. band. ever.

So you may not be able to vent anger out to the new record, that doesnt stop it being the best record theyve put out yet, even though i love everything theyve done
And really, how can Corey be a sell out just by doing what he does best n doing it well?
Thats what i dont understand, a band become successful or better at what they do and automatically theyre selling out? Erm, explain?

Anyhoo, i dont really have a top 20 in any order apart from the top spot

Purity!!!!!
Circle
Before I Forget
The Nameless
Three Nil
Dont Get Close
Disasterpiece
Spit It Out
Wait And Bleed
Surfacing
(sic)
Skin Ticket
Everything Ends
Metabolic
The Shape
Scissors
Eeyore
Danger Keep Away
Vermilion

I think they had the best set list on the Disasterpieces DVD (where you can hear both the live and studio versions of Purity), i cant wait for October to see how they work the new stuff into such a great set.

Thatd be cos MFKR wasnt made by the 9 man Slipknot of today. It was the Anders-era slipknot that made MFKR right?

Either way, does anyone know where i can get a copy of MFKR without selling my liver and soul to Corey? I know theres a re release petition circling the net, but thats gonna take aaaaages

SonorKen 08-01-2004 09:12 AM

Sorry to hi-jack your thread guys but we felt like we needed to make an "Official" Slipknot thread and this thread is full of good information. If you have ANYTHING related to Slipknot post it here, don't make new threads. If you post something negative about Slipknot back up your statement. If you make a post that just says "Slipknot sucks" your gonna have some serious problems.

Anyway, enjoy and lets have some "INTELLIGENT" conversations and fun! SFK.
he never said slipknot sucks...
Yeah what the hell...

From what I see, its that "Maggots Of The Knot" is a stupid term, and makes people who use it look like complete retards.

Again, calling yourselves maggots

gg on insulting yourselves

No, Prosthetics is a stalkers anthem.

So who has MFKR and what do they think of it?

I love it, almost as good as the self-titled imo....

in the words of Corey Taylor, he said this was the stalkers anthem
prosthetics was written about something corey read in the enquirer (or a similiar magazine) it wasnt true, but it touched him, so he wrote a song about it.

i have MFKR and its pretty good, the only downfall is it doesnt have that many songs on it

bungshal 08-01-2004 04:20 PM

just a question..was it the same bassist playing on mfkr as the one they have now?

TMNTmaggotxXx 08-01-2004 04:33 PM
just a question..was it the same bassist playing on mfkr as the one they have now?
yes Paul #2 is the same bassist as on MFKR Joey #1, Shawn #3 and Paul are original members

alcoholocaust 08-01-2004 04:44 PM

Shawn is #6.

Please close the other Slipknot topics.

feedthegods666 08-02-2004 10:21 AM

ok, next question, cuz the first one kind of died

whats their best remix?

i'd say SPIT IT OUT (Overcaffeinated remix) on the Wait and Bleed single

feedthegods666 08-02-2004 12:00 PM

their (sic) remix is pretty cool too on the Wait and Bleed single

they should remix some of the stuff from MFKR

clearvision 08-02-2004 12:41 PM

Wow an official slipknot thread, without flaming :) Is anyone like me and only really enjoy their more melodic stuff. NOt talking just about vermillion pt2 and circle. Im tlaking stuff like Nameless, Wait and bleed. Yeah i can just about listen to their quirky first album with tracks like liberate and only one on there. BUt i just seem to like their more melodic stuff better. Alot of it is like what mudvayne produced on their newest album (the end of all thigns to come)....anyone?

korn-head 08-02-2004 12:54 PM

The remix songs are not really much different from the original songs. The songs are still class and id say spit it out would be the best. Wat do use think the best live slipknot song is? I would say three nil cse it fukin rules.

jaymz_is_god 08-02-2004 02:24 PM

The best live Slipknot song has to be Surfacing or The Heretic Anthem. All their songs are great live, but those two stand out for me.

slipknot-maggot 08-02-2004 02:40 PM

best slipknot live song......................disasterpiece, pulse of the maggots, surfacing. i think all of them are really good live. these are jus my phase now. they will prob be different 2moz.

MbMDrumMachine 08-02-2004 02:41 PM

I don't know if this has been talked about or whatever, but I'm stating what I think...

Slipknot are the band I hate the most out of all bands. I have many good reasons.

Lack of Talent/Originality -

I don't think Slipknot are talented at all. I've heard people say "ooo, Mick really shreds". Go listen to some Jason Becker or something, and then try to tell me Mick can shred. I've looked at numerous Slipknot tabs and they all digust me. So many people also so Joey is really good at drums. I'm a drummer, and I hear nothing sepcial from him. In fact I don't even think he's that great or original with his drumming. Also, there's the lyrics and song meanings. Most of Slipknot's songs are about depression and suicide, typical nu-metal style. It makes me sick

The Whole 9 Member Thing -

This actually makes me laugh. I find it really funny how Slipknot can have 9 members and play as poorly as they do. I can think of countless bands that sound better than slipknot and play with 5, 4 or even 3 members. I don't get why they need two percussionists, they don't add anything to the music. I saw Duality live on Leno and one of them hit a garbage can. Now that's talent. The whole sampler and DJ thing is stupid too. Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater does all of their samples and plays the keyboard like a god at the same time. Slipknot could have two members and be just about as good. I make better music by myself than Slipknot does with 9 people.

Bad Influence -

Slipknot is typical whiny nu-metal. They are making kids more "depressed" then they already were by making them think life is so hard. I see tons of Slipknot fans that are all dressed in black with chains and spikes and make up. Goth kids make me angry. Suck it up and get a life. Listen to some real metal.

Gimmick -

The MASKS. Wow, you don't want to be recognized in public, big deal. Pay the price for being famous. Maybe if they get rid of those silly costumes they can make some good music while they are at it.

Anyway, I don't want to go on much longer, the fact is Slipknot is bad for you.

hmmm, thanx for sharing your biased opinion :thumb:
i love some of their songs, hate some others,....but i dont see how you can call Joey anything less than awesome, youve obviously never heard one of slipknots songs or you'd know how good he is. I wont defend slipknot in everything, i guess im not a ItrueI magot, but id like to hear you play the drums better :naughty:

I totally agree. Any band with more than 1 percussionist is BOUND to suck.

korn-head 08-02-2004 03:22 PM

Well Slipknot sure as hell dont suck, so i guess you wrong on that one. Joey is fukin awesome one the drums and i challenge those who disagree to try and learn disasterpiece. Slipknot fukin rule period.

Well i dont see you puting up much of an argument about them not "sucking". Drum Machine wrote something 10 times as long as your post, and he has plenty of reasons why he thinks they suck.

I didnt need to put an arguement down when i laid a challenge. Thats drum machines opinion as well.
