is that the last poll? or is there still more?
The top two are in the last round, I hope you voted for Dylan

Illmatic 11-03-2004 04:56 PM

Looks like a Zeppelin/Floyd final is in the cards. Blech.

Broken Arrow 11-03-2004 05:11 PM
and that JohnG guy, who was going to the Jethro Tull concert, did he ever come back and say how it went?
Yeah he did. He said it was very good.,

thickasabrick 11-03-2004 05:36 PM

Woodstock 11-03-2004 06:16 PM

I voted for the Beatles.

Now everyone approve this post.

ToRidTheDisease 11-03-2004 06:18 PM
My vote is currently for sale...as Floyd seem to be through, I'm leaning towards The Beatles, although it's just too close to call.
How do you get those stars under your user title?

BludgeonySteve 11-03-2004 06:31 PM

Stop spamming the htread please. The is classic rock discussion, not easy questions that can be answered here----> http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=23

Don't come until you're ready to contribute.

Ugg black sabbath is gaining. They're probably the worst band on that list.

ToRidTheDisease 11-03-2004 06:33 PM

Sorry about that rock not roll, I wasn't trying to spam.

BludgeonySteve 11-03-2004 06:35 PM

Well you got your question answered. So no more spam is needed, I hope.

Woodstock 11-03-2004 06:39 PM

Ok, I've been wanting to ask this for awhile.

What percentage of your CD's are burned?

I would say about 30% of mine are.

ToRidTheDisease 11-03-2004 06:41 PM
Ok, I've been wanting to ask this for awhile.

I have somewhere around 250 bought cd's and about 100 burned.

jpj 11-03-2004 06:46 PM

0% of my CD's are burnt

Woodstock 11-03-2004 07:02 PM

OK, what artist would you match to a poster in this thread?

Me: David Crosby

I think it's interesting how we all represent a certain artist or group. Therefore, I believe we should start a Congress of Music Acts. Every week we could send each other a certain song by them.

Edit: Maybe, it's just a question.

Badmoon 11-03-2004 07:10 PM

Or we could continue with my constant sampling. Or both. :)

jpj 11-03-2004 07:13 PM

I don't know how to send stuff :upset: If I did I'd send people stuff.

Woodstock 11-03-2004 07:15 PM
I don't know how to send stuff :upset: If I did I'd send people stuff.
I do it through AIM, it's very easy.

jpj 11-03-2004 07:17 PM
I do it through AIM, it's very easy.
I know you do it through AIM I'm just not sure how you go about doing it.
Anyone here like Kansas? I'm listening to Point of No Return right now, and really like it.

Well, you record it through a music program onto your computer. Then, under a single chat box, click People and then Send File.

I think Kansas is pretty cheesy.

Sounds simple.

I guess some their stuff is, but some of is is pretty good IMO.

Seafroggys 11-03-2004 08:11 PM

1 burnt CD (Ina-godda-da-vida).....

Not very many (~15) real CDs....wish I had dozens upon dozens.

drugstore cowboy 11-03-2004 08:30 PM

Kansas is pretty cheesy...But they're alright.

I don't have that many burnts cds. I recently made one with songs I like to drum to..but It's my mom who's crazy on downloading and burning music...she's got, like 50 cds..and thousands more songs on the computer...=p

jpj 11-03-2004 08:37 PM

Your mom? That's really wierd.

drugstore cowboy 11-03-2004 08:40 PM

Yeah...she likes all her old music, too. She burnt me some cd's for my birthday =p. Cool stuff like the Byrds, some Cream, ELO. Mostly she downloads old singer-songwriter stuff and broadway show tunes =p

I created a monster when I introduced her to kazaa. "Today I remembered this song and this song and these 50 others songs that I want to download" =p

Badmoon 11-03-2004 09:55 PM

Didn't Clarence White play with The Byrds? He's definitley one of the greatest Country guitarists and a very underrated one.

My Uncle plays a lot of Byrds songs with a slide on electric. He is a mad guitarist, and definitley the greatest harmonica player I have ever heard. Even better than John Popper from Blues Traveler. He's nuts.

Badmoon 11-03-2004 10:11 PM

Ha, Dylan sucks at harmonica :p

BludgeonySteve 11-03-2004 10:14 PM

I wasn't aware that harmonica was a skill.

Badmoon 11-03-2004 11:35 PM

okay...

~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-03-2004 11:58 PM

Robert Plant plays harmonica when he's prancing around on stage being sexy. :naughty: hua-haha.
I am happy that people listen to Uriah Heep, mostly I get blank stares when I try to bring them up in a classic rock discussion.
Classic Rock bands I love (I don't really listen to anything else...except a few exceptions);
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Yes
Uriah Heep
Nazareth (anyone listen to them?)
Rush
The Scorpions (saw them live, AWESOME show)
Judas Priest
The Yardbirds
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Deep Purple
Jimi Hendrix
Jefferson Airplane
Heart
Janis Joplin
Boston
Sweet
AC/DC
Bad Company
Electric Light Orchestra
Cream

Crap, I know there's more that I'm forgetting.

Has anyone heard of Procol Harum? Crazy band.

Badmoon 11-04-2004 08:13 AM
Robert Plant plays harmonica when he's prancing around on stage being sexy. hua-haha.
Robert Plant is a homosexual. Possible along the lines of Mick Jagger.

And yes, we have all heard of Procol Harum.

:)

Badmoon 11-04-2004 09:58 AM

Where the hell are you guys!?!?

skanks

thickasabrick 11-04-2004 10:54 AM

harmonica is a skill, its not as easy as you would think. and dylan isnt very good at the harmonica, but his solos always fit the music well. i like the little harmonica solo on Tangled Up in Blue.

~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-04-2004 11:12 AM
Robert Plant is a homosexual. Possible along the lines of Mick Jagger.
Mick Jagger *shudders*, now there's a face only a mother could love. Not as hideous as Keith Richards, but he's getting there.

Robert Plant? A Homo? Hahahaha. he's about as much as a homo as Bill Clinton is.

Badmoon 11-04-2004 11:23 AM

You're obviously working against the obvious.

When Bill Clinton jumps on stage with his shirt all the way open, blonde curry hair twisted around his fingers, making such sounds you would hear from a woman during an orgasm, and making attempts at seducing movements, give me a call.

~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-04-2004 11:39 AM

hahaha, that would be quite a site to see. Especialy since he'd probably die before he got his other leg over the stage.
Nah, Plant just acts weird. He's married (has been since he was 18) and has kids. People did weird things in the 70's. Long hair was considered homosexual. Men wore what women wear today. His acting that way got attention. I don't think he was gay though. I'm just suprised his wife didn't divorce him for screwing all those chicks.

Besides, if it goes that way, then everyone in the 80's hair metal bands were homosexuals.

magicbus 11-04-2004 11:50 AM

I want to learn harmonica. Seriously.
Robert Plant is cool.
I haven't voted on the poll yet, but I will.
AND The Lemon Song = probably the best bass I've heard yet. JPJ really shines on that one.

~The*Lemon*Song~ 11-04-2004 11:58 AM

I like you, you don't attack anyone, you compliment songs which are awesome, you don't say Robert Plant is gay, put disturbing images of Clinton seductively prancing around in my brain, or put down the harmonica. Good.

Badmoon 11-04-2004 12:13 PM

^ Well, he is of course strait, but it is always fun to doubt him.

Your name reminded me of that song.
