The reclusive dark elf who lives by himself in the darkest forest in Doriath and is basically a douchebag and nobody likes him.
I just read the Silmarillion for like the 80th time like two months ago and I want to read it again already, haha.
i started rereading it then my brother took it back to the library and i was like wtf
best book of all time tbh
Yeah, I liked it a lot.
I should read it.
its jawesome
Yeah so I'm about to smoke a joint and clean the house before bed
I haven't read anything in awhile tbh, I think The Shining was the last book I read.
Silmarillion is amazing.
"...as a mountain that wades in the sea and has its head above the clouds and is clad in ice and crowned with smoke and fire; and the light of the eyes of Melkor was like a flame that withers with heat and pierces with a deadly cold." |

Makes me wish my friends weren't all greedy dope heads. |
Tbh, I think I rathered The Silmarillion than what I've read from LotR, even though I liked that too.
I'd have to start reading that again, though. |
Yeah, I just got done reading LOTR, and The Silmarilion is definitely more epic.
I wish Tolkien could've split it into full books for each story, I mean, that'd be absurd, but goddamn that've been so epic. I'm just hoping Christopher Tolkien will do something with the Lay Of Luthien like he did with Narn I Chin Hurin. |

The Hobbit, The Fellowship, and The Two Towers are good, but The Return of the King is lammme.
The Return Of The King is awesome tbh.
But man, wtf, why does everything have to end all happy and ****, ugh. |

When I first read it in the 7th grade I got chills up my spine when Gandalf was slain in Moria. |
A valid point!
sounds cheesy but lotr helped me through some tough times in high school.
:nerd: |
Melkor/Morgoth just sounds much more epic than Sauron haha
He didn't just emanate darkness, unlight surrounded him.
Sit now there, and look out upon the lands were evil and despair shall come upon those whom thou lovest. Thou hast dared to mock me, and to question the power of Melkor, Master of the fates of Arda. Therefore with my eyes thou shalt see, and with my ears thou shalt hear and never shalt thou move from this place until all is fullfilled unto its bitter end
