Neoteric 10-26-2007 04:39 PM

wow, you must be blind

ATM 10-26-2007 04:54 PM

Boris tonight :D

Neoteric 10-26-2007 04:56 PM

I want to see them live.

When they came here I was on holiday with my family plus it was an 18+ venue.

Youngs 10-26-2007 06:24 PM

Boris is great live. With the gong and everything.

br3ad_man 10-26-2007 07:12 PM

Yeah Boris rules live. The drummer is the happiest dude ever.

Kyle 10-26-2007 07:58 PM

Too bad about Arcade Fire, they're pretty awesome live. The Neon Bible tour has been slightly less impressive though.

I'd love to see Boris. My friend just text me saying Pelican are playing near me with High on Fire, so I'll probably go to that.

br3ad_man 10-26-2007 08:15 PM

Pelican were really good a few weeks ago. I'd love to see High on Fire.

Anxious 10-26-2007 08:36 PM

I'm seeing them in January :)

Neoteric 10-27-2007 06:03 AM

Damn, you guys go to all these great shows. :(

Interstate 10-27-2007 06:23 AM

Must. Go. To. More. Shows

Neoteric 10-27-2007 06:24 AM

I don't have the money to go to more shows or anyone to go with. :\

Interstate 10-27-2007 06:29 AM

Same. It sucks.

Neoteric 10-27-2007 06:32 AM

Most of the time I just go myself since most other people my age still listen to shitty music.

Interstate 10-27-2007 06:36 AM

I know what you mean. I mentioned a couple of bands I wanted to go and see (can't remember which ones now but they were pretty mainstream compared to some stuff I've got) and they were like  I shall have to see some by myself instead.

sweboy 10-27-2007 06:36 AM

Yeah, fuck you all! Try living in Sweden, we don't get any shows at all here, and the ones we do get are crappy metal bands.

Interstate 10-27-2007 06:42 AM

Haha true.

Kyle 10-27-2007 06:42 AM

That would be hell.

Animal Collective, Iron and Wine, Asobi Seksu, Beirut, Black Lips, Two Gallants, Das Wanderlust, Youthmovies, Caribou, Foals, Mono W/ Jesu, Efterklang, Scout Niblett, Patrick Wolf, Akron/Family, Liars, The Good Life

I will probably see all these bands in November.

Neoteric 10-27-2007 06:45 AM

Jesus.

I'm going to Animal Collective though.

sweboy 10-27-2007 06:58 AM

****ing hell ****

I might move to San Fransisco.

It doesn't take a lot of time getting to cph.

You get The Knife.

Interstate 10-27-2007 07:46 AM

That's got to be worth something.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-27-2007 07:49 AM

The Knife are okay. Usually three or four songs is enough for me, they get boring over the course of a whole album.

Thanks 10-27-2007 09:22 AM

I thought I was going to have to miss Mt. Eerie tonight, but it looks like I'll be able to go. Joy!

big80smullet 10-27-2007 09:29 AM

You're all lucky compared to me. the best ive got on the gig calender is Boney M. No Bands come to Australia.

asdf 10-27-2007 09:33 AM

Upcoming concerts:
They Might Be Giants
Mission of Burma/Upsilon Acrux/The Sinatras
Flatfoot 56
BB King
Against me!/World Inferno/Sage Francis

Half of those or more I probably wont end up at.

did you see The Boredoms and Michael Gira? I saw them in Glasgow, and it was rather spectaculer.

My next show is Mark Kozelek on Wednesday.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-27-2007 09:46 AM

only gig coming up for me is Daft Punk in December. should be good.

big80smullet 10-27-2007 09:58 AM

has that sold out yet AR? i imagine it has

br3ad_man 10-27-2007 10:07 AM

I'm probably going to see Bill Callahan next Saturday. I just got home from Justin Timberlake.

How the hell is it when I see Animal Collective in the exact same venue and that's a 14+?

ATM 10-27-2007 10:15 AM

Boris were awesome, and the drummer was indeed the happiest guy ever. He started crowd surfing towards the end of the show and then banging the gong like crazy haha

Hmm upcoming shows for me:

Circle Takes the Square (on Monday)
Little Brother/ Evidence
Madlib/ Peanut Butter Wolf
Band of Horses/ Drones (maybe)
Galactic/ Charli 2na/ Mr. Lif/ Lifesavas
Dr.Dog
Om
Sleeping People
Most Serene Republic

I think so, I'd be suprised if it hasn't.

yep, I've never understood why this happens either.

have you ever tried going to an 18+ show? Last summer, I saw Animal Collective in King Tuts. It was 18+ as well, and I'd just turned 17. I bought the ticket, and got in fine. I think they're more accepting if you HAVE the ticket, rather than buying at the door. If you really wanna go, find someone you know who's over 18 and has photo ID which could pass as you, and take that. Me and my friends used to do this all the time when we went to glasgow.

okay 10-27-2007 12:46 PM

THEY DONT CARE AT 18+ SHOWS, the only limit they care at is 21+

Neoteric 10-27-2007 12:48 PM

Well I look nowhere near 18 and I don't know anyone that looks like me. I suppose I might get in but I don't want to buy a ticket and it ends up being a waste.
