I have not seen Josiah post since his thread about hitting 10,000. Wonder if anything happened.
He died in a tragic automotive accident. Nobody came to his funeral, so he came back to haunt us all under the name 'Bone'.

-TheGlassPrison- 10-26-2005 08:40 PM

Dont even joke about that.

Futuro 10-26-2005 08:43 PM
He died in a tragic automotive accident. Nobody came to his funeral, so he came back to haunt us all under the name 'Bone'.
I swear, from day oneI thought he was "Bone" I was even talking with someone from here about how much he reminded me of Josiah.

Jezen 10-26-2005 08:43 PM

......Wwhhyy?

Jezen 10-26-2005 08:44 PM

I suppose Bone has his differences to J. Bone seems a lil more easy going, but if you see any of his long posts...

...Well, it's very J.

Futuro 10-26-2005 08:46 PM

Yes "Bone" does the josiah thing

Point proven.

Point proven.

Point proven.

Etc.

EDIT: Why did Josiah stop being a mod anyway?

rockindrummer 10-26-2005 09:07 PM

^ Not enough time? I don't know I don't see him around much so that seems why. Do you guys have any posts of bone and him relating closly to J?

puppet.master 10-26-2005 09:12 PM

whos bone?

Futuro 10-26-2005 09:13 PM
^ Not enough time? I don't know I don't see him around much so that seems why. Do you guys have any posts of bone and him relating closly to J?
Every post Bone does is set up in the easy to read fashion Josiah used. But other than that nope.

I remember when I first got my drumset, I used to "Lurk" the forums. But never signed up till this year.

Got the new MD today!

-Cover is Rodney Holmes

-Looks like there's a guide to re-covering your drums

-Carter Beauford transcriptions! I'll be looking forward to this...

-Coheed & Cambria's Josh Eppard

-Trading 4s with Elvin Jones

I'm excited to crack this one open.

Juicy_Forlorn 10-26-2005 09:31 PM

I just got mine today too. I started reading it but then I had to go to stupid drivers ed so I didn't get very far through it. I'm pretty interested in reading the article about planned practice too cause I need to develop better practice habits.

Bone 10-26-2005 09:34 PM

Who's Josiah?

The new MD is great too btw, the Elvin transcription is sweet.

Win A Rabbit 10-26-2005 10:01 PM

white sox won the world series. i just heard it in my living room. my brother's all happy. i'm not much of a baseball man, but i know jim was rooting for the sox. congrats.

i just made myself a big plate of nachos, oh it's so good. salsa and everything. i can eat salsa with anything.

Bone 10-26-2005 10:04 PM

Ya that is true, oddly same type of sticks too. 2B wood tips.

Holy crap man you have a lot of posts and havn't been here very long at all.

Basketball sucks, baseball is kinda fun to play but boring to watch (i bet jim was watchin the game), soccer is fun to play and i find it fun to watch as I annalize them as they play, hockey is fun to play and watch, and ya that's the more popular sports I can think of now.

Double Bass Jim 10-26-2005 10:19 PM

OH YEA!!! That was great. Man im so glad they won.

They dominated everything swept em easy.

LoneStarDrummer 10-26-2005 10:23 PM

i'd be lieing if i said i thought the sox weren't going to clean sweep the series.

the astros lost before game one. :upset::angry::evil:

rockindrummer 10-26-2005 10:24 PM

Ya a sweep is always cool, and it's even better when the team you like wins!

LoneStarDrummer 10-26-2005 10:27 PM

yeah i bet jim and all the other sox fans are just livin' it up right now.

rockindrummer 10-26-2005 10:33 PM

ive had it for awhile, i didnt find the rodney holmes interview interesting at all...the carter beauford transcriptions werent of any songs i found interesting enough to learn either...i thought josh eppard using oven mitts as gloves kind of interesting, all in all i think the guide to recovering your drums was most useful. though it left some stuff out

EDIT: hah forgot about the planned practice bit, the part that hit me the most out of that article was this qoute:

"how long should i practice?"

"how good do you wanna be?"

Double Bass Jim 10-26-2005 10:35 PM

Now I gotta wait for the cubs to win

Never happen... :(

l3n 10-26-2005 10:41 PM

LoneStarDrummer 10-26-2005 10:49 PM

^that's about the jist of the game.
Ipod and a brick of Vic Firth 2B's. Wood tip.
Josiah has a 30 gig Ipod, And loves Vic firth 2bs.
Ha ha ha, why don't you tell us where you got that avatar from?
I did a search on traditional grip images. There are quite a few, I was undecided between that one or ( http://www.vicfirth.com/education/articles/gifs/grip/left5.jpg ). I prefer B&W myself. The built in avatar's for drummers on here stink.

I have a 60 gig Ipod and a Nano myself. I don't know what this Josiah fellow own's. There are only a few million or so people with ipod's now. I think it's a fantastic tool that allows people to enjoy much more music through the amazing uses of technology to create an impressively large portable jukebox.

VicFirth makes the best sticks from what I've encountered. What can I say? I use about 6 different pairs of sticks from them. For the purposes of that particular thread, I simply put my personal preference.
