I give Parkway Drive a 2.5 as a whole. They aren't good, but they aren't mind-numbingly bad. When I'm mad and I want to listen to some brutal Metalcore I would prefer this to bands like Throwdown or Emmure. Yuck.

I give Alesana a .5.
They're just comically band. I didn't make it a 0 because I like some of the screaming vocals.

I just consider Parkway Drive an amazingly better version of ikilledthepromqueen....which says remotely nothing.

Just got into August Burns Red.. they are sort of mathcore but can go as metalcore too.

They sound like AILD except with better breakdowns and slightly more technical.

probly, I was a fanboy of them awhile ago, I still like them, but definitely enjoy ABR a lot more.

Way better energy, no poppy choruses, etc.
