Those Fodera Heavy 6-string strings are great. They're like a combo of a steel core and a nickel wind (or vice versa). They're aggressive, but not overly angry that every little noise comes through. They work really well with my new EMG-DCs.
I'm really wanting to put some EMG CS/TWs & the 3-band EMG BQS system in my Spector Legend now. I bought some SPDT switches yesterday so that I can slowly go through and put a killswitch on each of my basses. I'm really finally happy with my basses, amp, and string choices. Now it's time to move onto effects. In another 5 years, I'll be totally done and satisfied. |

It won't happen. And you know it. |
I haven't had any desire to buy anything new since I got my Stambaugh. That was a year and a half ago.
|
Man, nobody responded to my crap-*** videos.
|
So i have the threads displayed from the last 10 days. And there are only 10...yet 600+ posts have ended up in one thread lolz.
|
I love MX again.
Fangtastic. |
That thread has had more activity in a week than the entire forum has in the last year.
|
And more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Yeah. I dunno. It's losing its appeal to me. He's clearly a troll, and is probably sitting at home laughing as ass off.

he may be trolling but dammit he can't spell so i can't quit him

I know. :upset: Damn English degree gets me up in arms about that sort of thing. |
I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Going back to my guitarist's today to re-record more songs. We're trying to polish our stuff up as much as humanly possible. We've got, like, 5 songs that we have to re-write and re-record because of synth in them (which we've taken out).
We're re-recording all of this new stuff through my head, though (I know, I'm stupid for having never figured out how to do that before, haha). It sounds awesome. Really brings out the tone of my bass. Running my Stambaugh into the pre on the head and then out to the interface, with only a touch of compression added on post-EQ. Sounds very good. Also, fixed the intonation on my B string. It's been out of whack pretty much since I got the bass (good until the 5th fret, but pretty shoddy after). I was just too lazy to do anything about it, but now it's pretty much perfect (at least up until the 12th fret, which is as high up as I'd play on that string, anyway). Gonna take a day here soon to do a full, proper setup on my bass. |
That was a good laugh for a while.
He's really starting to get pointlessly defensive, though. And how would sending the label a link to that thread be illegal in any way? It's on the internet (publicly, at that), and if he tells us what label he's on, it could simply considered being a good Samaritan and helping out a prospering business. |

Make sure that you're fretting correctly. Event the slightest bend, especially in the upper registers, on a fanned-fret will throw it severely out-of-whack. |

Which by the sounds of it, you're doing exactly that. :thumb: |

Which by the sounds of it, you're doing exactly that. :thumb:
Well, we're just doing home recordings, atm, and practicing a lot. Once we get a drummer (which we may have), we're going to record a demo. The idea is to know the songs so well that we can whip out a 4 song demo in no time at all. |

Not dissing your technique at all, good sir. Just stressing the importance of it. |

Trust me, I know, haha. I have small hands... good technique is a necessity for me, otherwise, I'll rape my wrists five ways from Tuesday. |

I haven't really checked my technique in a while. I've been focusing more on my right-hand playing than my left-hand fretting. I have rather large hands and I can't remember being uncomfortable unless I'm doing a lot of playing in the first position. |
I leik tuddles.
