I can beat anybody, even 5 anybodies at once, in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit Saga Edition.
I did it multiple times. |
he created one of the most compelling universes of the modern age, regardless of whether the plot itself was good, which is what has made Star Wars special to so many people I think.
yeah, this basically. |
idk my best friend and I tear people down in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
To me it's more about the universe as a whole than the individual movies, as much as I adore the original trilogy. Also, I think the thread title should be changed. My self-esteem has suffered enough. |
It isn't so much the fact that his films are deep so much as the fact that they're very entertaining and engaging. I get filled with child-like excitement watching episodes IV, V and VI.
Well done, Captain Fails-To-Read-Posts-Properly
he created one of the most compelling universes of the modern age, regardless of whether the plot itself was good, which is what has made Star Wars special to so many people I think.
I agree, though I also think the countless "Extended Universe" titles by other authors means the credit can't solely be attributed to George Lucas. |
wookieepedia tbh
|
Apparently people are employed by LucasArts (or whomever is in charge of the Extended Universe) to read each new novel and check the continuity doesn't clash with something George Lucas has written/envisioned, as well as every other friggin' Star Wars:EU storyline. Now those people are the real Star Wars nerds.

I could totally do that. I missed my calling!
I think the gayness that the Extended Universe authors brings in ends up leveling out all the cool ideas they contribute.
Its funny to hear the endless debates from EU fans about what is canon and what is not. |
Oh dear sweet moses I just had the best cornbread ever.

lol I have a dude on my dorm tonight that dresses and lives as a woman. Now I gotta make sure he's not banging all the other guys! Great! |

Goshdarn but these people sitting across the table are annoying me. How can the average person be so retarded as to call a solar panel "a Solarhart roof-top heating thingies?" I am too judgemental to use a library, hehe. :p
|
Throw unabridged encyclopedias at them.
|
The really big encyclopediae are handily close, too. Seriously, I don't know what course these people are studying, but they've got highlighters and popped collars, so I'm guessing it's business or education. And cos they're predominantly male, I am thinking business.
|
lol Business majors
|
Pretty much. I must be terrible company. I like to think I'm open and witty, but I just realised how elitist I am about music, movies, TV and science.
|
Mad elitist.
|
Awww, how can I be elitist about music when INXS are so catchy.
Michael Hutchence war krieg. |

whats your problem with education majors |
whats your problem with education majors
Nothing against them. I just would expect them to sit in the library discussing things they haven't researched, especially the mature age ones. Many of my good friends are education majors, and two of my ex-girlfriends are also education majors. |
I think you are bitter
|
Yeah he wishes he could pull off the popped collar.
|
I can if I want, but I don't. Seriously, they're researching now so they're not pissing me off as much. I'm confused as to whether they're first year engineering or business majors, though.
