Minus the Bear

For the past six years, Seattle's Minus The Bear have orbited the music world like a distant meteor, fine-tuning their brand of idiosyncratic indie rock & unique pop vision.

Free shows wooooooooo

class 07-28-2007 04:28 AM

wtf i had to pay

Zmev 07-28-2007 06:18 AM

I'd be seeing High on Fire live too except the day of the show I'll be in Hawaii.
Did it work?
yeah. ive been listening to it pretty much nonstop.

BringHomeTheBacon 07-29-2007 12:58 PM

I saw Sonic Youth play Daydream Nation last night. It was a pretty amazing experience. My only complaints were that some of the songs were played slower than on record and that all of the encore songs were from Rather Ripped.

margin0walker 07-29-2007 01:31 PM

are Okay's cds good/worth getting?

Jacaranda 07-29-2007 01:54 PM

QOTSA last night good good show. sweaty crowd and front made it hot.

perriwinkle 07-29-2007 02:10 PM

Thanks 07-29-2007 02:17 PM

I must agree for once, perri. Dan Deacon is pretty sweet. I saw him at an afterparty for pitchfork festival, and we (the crowd) danced so hard we collapsed the floor. It was intense.

I'm sure Dan Deacon is great live but his album is a piece of shit.

Montana 07-29-2007 08:37 PM

Dan Deacon came here a few weeks ago but it was at some all ages place and I can't deal with dancing unless there is alcohol involved.

Was that at the Wilma? I've never been to a live show there.

I like. I'll try check out more. I don't think I could find myself dancing to this though, and I try to dance at any given opportunity.
Who supported?
the Gasoline Angels - ****ing noise with moaning is all i could hear really, but they did sound like if they weren't so droney they wouldn't be bad.
Was that at the Wilma? I've never been to a live show there.
ya it was really packed in and i waited in line for 5 1/2 hours only to have some *** hat with a mohawk slam his elbow into men and thrash around. buggers. every single person near the stage was drenched in sweat it was sweet. except for the high number of *** holes who were there.
sound is great in the wilma and its a small venue but for a show like QOTSA the UC theater or something would be much better.

I enjoyed that quite a bit, except when he sang like an asshole. Great video too lol. And yes, I could definitely dance to this.
