I really like Sonic Firestorm... The solo in Fury of the Storm is amazing...

I have Inhuman Rampage but havn't listened to it much yet...
While we're on albums have aren't out yet,

In Flames's new album "Come Clarity" is really good.
It's a mix between old and new. Much better then Soundtrack to your Escape. I liked that one also though.
I have mixed opinions on Come Clarity. It does have some great moments, but at times it's competely awful.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-23-2005 09:29 PM

So it is an improvment over their last album?

There are a couple of terrible songs.

I think overall, It's really good.

Needled isn't hard... but the solo to it is impossible (only to me apparently)

An easier song to learn though is deffinately Sixpounder. I can never learn things by ear, but somehow I can play alot of it perfect from learning it by ear. Probably just because it's slower paced.

I think Sixpounder is much harder. The rymthm was really tough to get exact.

I always find it harder to play riffs that consist of cords then lead riffs. I know it makes no sense.

I find the verse in Needled 24 7 (the cords) harder to play perfect then the lead.

The intro solo isn't that hard and the main lead riff is easy and sweeet.

I've thought about learning ChokeHold , any thoughts?

AA-12 12-24-2005 02:21 PM

What, Sixpounder is hard? How? That's one of the easiest songs I know.

Hey guys, I know this isn't allowed, but I need to show this. I just made a new forum. I'd like some new members, so if anyone's interested, have a look

MRDuCran 12-24-2005 04:26 PM

I want to hear some recordings by you people, I'm interested in the skill level around here.

blue3 12-24-2005 05:14 PM

What's the forum about?

And I'm not good at guitar, so um, you don't need to hear a recording from me.

AA-12 12-24-2005 05:15 PM

I'll record soon once I get my Pod XT.

I'm looking for it to be about all types of entertainment, mainly music (I expect). So just a good smaller place to post at.

My song obvioiusly hase my name on it, Moses, and it's called Bleeding Persistance. I play everything and the drums are programmed although there's more emphasis on the keys than anything. Note that this is not put together well and I'm actually working on it at the moment. Just wish my bassist and drummer didn't quit the band:angry: .

Yeah, if you own any of Alexi's "Guitar World" magazine columns, they really help. Another thing, is don't go by tabs for the song because most are wrong. Most of the song is pretty easy.

I'm Charming 12-24-2005 09:03 PM

What would I need to record something...?

What's the easiest way?

Also an amp.

Agh, I hate that. :) Just one more way for people to make me feel inadequate at guitar. I don't think I'm that bad at all thought, just very self-conscious.

All I have is Audacity and a $15 mic, but the sound is very clear.

mysongbook.com
under Children Of Bodom
named Vivaldi's Summer Theme
that is, if you have guitar pro.

EDIT: Oh, I should have read down a bit, you already found a tab...

Do you think you could explain how to use Audacity sometime on AIM or something?

I just bought Follow The Reaper today. I am going to finish buying all of Bodom's albums. Buying that and see Ben continuously talk about Bodom, I decided to come in here.

Sure. Just IM me sometime, I'm happy to explain it.

That's right! People actually listen to me! :) \m/

King_Of_Terrors 12-24-2005 11:38 PM

Yes everything is right for you today. And so is :) \m/

Bah, he has 1,600 posts in here. I barely even have that many posts in the first place.

Shadows 12-24-2005 11:41 PM

This thread is like my eHome. I may post too much in the community thread, but I never feel like I'm in here too often.

Although I'm sure some of the other regulars would disagree with me. :p
