It's official. Kreator just overtook Megadeth as my favorite thrash band of all time.

Suicide_Punishment 05-04-2005 02:43 PM

That site didn't even have Persecution Mania, yet it had Agent Orange and M 16.

man that is a pretty cool site, didnt really look into it very long but will in the future. thx man

Apocalyptic Raids 05-04-2005 11:08 PM

That site was ok, i wouldn't agree with everything but overall it got it generally right. Execept for saying Schizophrenia was for "Completists only", that was stupid.

That amused me for some reason.

So uhh... Overkill, Anthrax, and Testament possibly on Gigantour, how great would that be?

Griffin_Page 05-04-2005 11:22 PM

I like the site, I agree with most of it.. but still, I think Rust in Peace and Peace Sells should be rated higher than Master of Puppets... but then again, im very biased.

Can you actually read reviews on that site?

I agree for the most part I guess, but they put new Testament above old Testament...

Freezing Moon 05-04-2005 11:29 PM

I found another pretty cool band today, has anyone heard of Polterkrist? They're pretty good from the one time I listened to the CD.

I seem to have lost the link... I'll edit it in if I find it.

some of the new is better than the old. practice what you preach is such a amazing album.

It's not a bad site but it totally lost its credibility when it labelled St Anger and in fact any post AJFA Metallica as thrash, as well as wrongly labelling Pantera and Machine Head as thrash.

NP: Overkill - End of the Line

RetiredAt21 05-05-2005 09:36 AM

Yeah, that site is kinda sloppy. I've been there before and some of the stuff they label as thrash...is just wrong.

metal-militia 05-05-2005 12:33 PM

www.classicthrash.com is a good site about thrash.

o, and RCA, im complaining becuase PM ****s all over Agent Orange. :thumb:

RetiredAt21 05-05-2005 01:17 PM

I love Agent Orange.

metal-militia 05-05-2005 02:53 PM

yeah, its good, but not as good as Persecution Mania.

NP: Dorsal Atlantica - Torture (RCA you got me around to finally getting some of this :thumb: )

Glad you like the Dorsal Atlantica!

I now like Persecution Mania and Agent Orange both equally now.

New Heathen Track!

I found an MP3 of the song "Dying Season" from Heathen's new demo. This song will be featured on their new album, which is currently untitled and is still in pre-production stages.

I liked it, and I hope you all enjoy! :thumb:

(Right-click, then "Save Target As" for this one.)
some of the new is better than the old. practice what you preach is such a amazing album.
The title track is something to awe over, but as an album The Legacy pretty much beats out everything, and The New Order was a great album too.

ForiegnPenguin 05-05-2005 07:14 PM

The only Testament I liked was their first two albums. To RCA: That sounds good, I've never heard Heaten before.

RCA 05-05-2005 07:27 PM
The only Testament I liked was their first two albums. To RCA: That sounds good, I've never heard Heaten before.
Even better, this new material is actually a good representation of Heathen's old material. It's looking like they will be the first 80's bay-area thrash band to release an actual full thrash album.

ForiegnPenguin 05-05-2005 07:43 PM

Thats good, their old stuff is hard to come by.

PWYP is pretty old, considering it was their third album and released in 89.
Thats good, their old stuff is hard to come by.
You can d/l both of their other full length albums at www.heathenmetal.com :thumb:

RavenousMetalist87 05-05-2005 09:35 PM

That demo reminded me of the old Flotsam and Jetsam albums, ala No Place For Disgrace.

Now I have Overkill permanently burned into my brain, but I love it \m/>_<\m/

Life - Live in danger!
Death - Welcome Stranger!
In Sin - You Deny the Cross!

MAthiAS 05-05-2005 10:13 PM

That Heathen song was pretty cool RCA.

Freezing Moon 05-05-2005 10:25 PM

That Heathen is awesome. Great stuff, thanks. :)
