Man. Teleincision, Refractionoid, Bliboran...What's next? Personally Refractionoid is my favorite. :D
|
LOL. teleinscion sounded great for a dvd
|
Just curious. Does Tool have any songs that they usually start/end their concerts with?
I want to see them so bad. Actually, my science teacher saw them. He said it was a little bhefore Undertow came out. It was at the Masquerade, and he said how he could pretty much touch Maynard. He was that close. What a cruel, cruel world. |
They started with the dipsotions/reflection/triad thingy during their past tour but theyll prob come out with something new for the next tour
|
Wow, I just found a torrent of The Nightmare Before Christmas synced with Lateralus...
|
Wow, that is interesting to say the least. Also kind of ironic that I saw something about Blink 182 writing a song about Nightmare Before Christmas yesterday. :-/
|
They ended with D/R/T on the OK concert that ThePatient uploaded.
Speaking of The Patient, I'm still looking for a Powertab of it and Disposition. :D
I read on kerrang they started. Dam i didnt get that second part from ok. who came along to play with danny on triad? |

What's even more interesting is that I was searching for the show ER. If anyone knows where I can find torrents of that or The Shield, let me know. It'd be a very nice way to say thank you for posting that Tool concert. :-* |
Destructo: Tomorrow's looking good, 'mic-wise'.
Faith: Golly gee, your track is right on. /Apologizes. |
keep me up to date please :p
wjat track are you doin expresso? |
I asked him to try Stinkfist, since you were out of the equation.
zomg 12k :confetti: |
sounds good
:edit: official thread killer :upset: |
Knifeboy- Just out of curiosity, what programs/mics are you using?
I use Cool Edit Pro 2, and a shure sm58 mic into my podxt connected to my computer via USB.. So if anything sounds wrong, it's definately not my setup, just my horrible voice ;) |
hey can u guys give me the the tone settings for tool, for guitar, like the low mids and lows , and reverb if any
that would be awsome if you guys could let me know |
i feel like expressing my opinon. they are a angry band
All I can say to that is LMAO. |
My mic is being a dick today, so i cannot record :( I had quite a bit done then the wireless thing got shedloads of intereference. I'll have another go tomorrow :(
|

that would be awsome if you guys could let me know
I don't know any of the exact EQ settings, but he uses lots of low and mids, not much treble. Lots of delay on most songs, as well. The occaisional flange effect as well. |
I keep meanin' to get into TOOL but i dont no which album to buy or what type of music they are.
|
Tool is what I would call an expirimental progressive rock band. As far as which album you should buy first, you should check out either Ænima or Lateralus. Both are two of my favorite albums, so either one should get you hooked. :)

Tool's an excellent band, page. Definitely, as Jake said, get AEnima or Lateralus. Pair one of those up with Salival, and you've got a mildly definitive look at Tool.

I agree with "Experimental Progressive Rock". That's a good way of saying it. |
I just saw that Morse Code thing on Toolband....It's not Morse Code.....It kinda stands for a date.

Thank you. Yes it has been a while. But I'm afraid as much I would like to I cannot post this information in such a public thread. If Blair found out I had posted it in some public thread he would surely never confide in me again. But I will give clues in one on one conversations if anyone really wants to know. |
Faith + 1: I'm doin stinkfist supposedly. I'm up for anything you guys want, except Ænema haha. Well maybe...
Deadohio are serious??? |
Thanks :upset: Need drum + bass track for aenima :( |
:-/
Okay, but it'll take me a relatively long time to learn... You know, SonorKen's band covered AEnema, have you talked to him? |
whoaa
hello i havent posted here in ages, just visited every few days to find news on tool. call it coincidence but i talked to deadohiosky today who posted earlier and hooooooooly sh.itttttttttttt i couldnt believe it, i think the whole forum should know about this.
apparently there is a new concept or something for the tool album, being like about light and dark, or about the moon and stuff? and theres FINALLY a release date!!!!!!!!!! OKK so apparently the code is actually something, check out what he sent: ***-**--*-- = original symbol Take the first 6 characters, because generally in a date there are 6 characters, for example (09/25/05) ***-** There are 5 stars altogether, each with 5 points. The first 3 stars, if multiplied by their points (3 x 5) would be 15. The second set of stars, then multiplied by their points (2 x 5) would be 10. This adds up to the 25th, the day of the last quarters of the moon, but Sundays are generally not days for a CD to be released. Therefore the line, which is one by one persay, would simply be 1 and when added to the others would be 26, Monday. --*-- The second 5 characters are the month. Once again the star rule applies, 1 star multiplied by its 5 points would be 5. When added to the four lines, this makes the ninth month, September, whose day the 25th is the last quarter of the moon. Blair also affirmed this date, and added he could not make the information obvious at all to his fans, therefore he made it almost impossible, especially by putting the day before the month. this is ****ing nutttttttttts, and it seems so legit. the relase date is supposed to be sept 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS AMAZING AND ALL TOOL FANS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!! |
OMG......................................................................................................................................................................................I just crapped my pants
