Good luck jim, not that you'll need it.

Just one thing, ive never seen a drum off before, so do you take your own kit or wha?

And has anyone heard the Sepultura - Territory? Thats some good drumming
at drumoff they provide the kit. you bring your own sticks if you want. sometimes they let you bring your own pedal .

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 05:15 AM

Spose that eliminates unfair advantage of having stuff other people dont.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 05:27 AM

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 01:03 PM

Well as of today im tryin to kick the habit :)

The habit being smoking

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 01:26 PM

^ Good for you. Whatever 'the habit' may be...
----
There was a thread made a few days ago, by someone wanting pictures for their 'Drumming Wall'...

(I just thought it would be more 'board-friendly' to post in here, instead of making a whole new damn thread)

Can I just say - SORRY

...For not posting when I said I would, I feel rather bad about it...

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:13 PM

"the habit" is smoking. I managed to go down from 20 to 4 already :D *proud* plus i figured out i'll save over £1000 a year

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:16 PM

Well, that is an achievement.
Congrats.

Just wait until you start rocking back and forth, sweating like a pig, wanting a fix of that thing...

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:23 PM

Im already rocking back an forth :(

And its nicotine, not heroin :p im not gonna go all cold an clammy. Off down the pharmacy tomorrow for some nicotine lozenges :D

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:25 PM

Yeah, I know it's not heroin!

It's just, some people I know that've had experiences with 'Quitting' have turned REALLY desperate...

cos you know that i can 09-28-2005 02:27 PM

Nicotine is actually more addictive than heroin...

And with those words of encouragement, I wish you good luck!

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:28 PM

Spose it might happen if i tried cold turkey. But i never had the willpower to do that.

Get that job in tesco you were talking about a while back.

Then you'd have enough moeny to fuel your addiction, and (maybe) a little left over.

(FYI - I do not actually advise doing this)

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 02:40 PM

A job would help like. It'd give me something to do to keep me mind off it.

Jezen 09-28-2005 02:40 PM

Anyone else listen to the Guano Apes? They deserve alot more publicity than they get.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 02:44 PM

I've heard of them, but I cannot remember where...

----

I was just listening to 'The Mediaeval Baebes' and am about to listen to 'KMFDM'...

Just for the record...

It's more addictive but not nearly as hard to come off.

I quit cigs in about 2 months, been clean for over a year.

Josiah 09-28-2005 03:25 PM

But nothing is as addictive as drumming.

Der Meister 09-28-2005 03:26 PM

crack :-*

Plan B. 09-28-2005 03:28 PM

I had a dream I awoke on a throne, surrounding me was a giant drumset in my basement. I played, and didn't feel any pain. This was my brains way of getting in my drum fix because I can't actually play in waking life. I was playing something really wicked, it was awesome!

Voodoo Rabbit 09-28-2005 03:32 PM

Dreams are weird.

Like, the ones where there is an 'outline' of you, falling and spinning.
Then there is an aerial view of you lying in your bed, and the BANG* the outline falls into your shape, and you wake-up.

I haven't had that one in a while...
Recently, I've been dreaming about Zombies chasing me, and tonight I am going to dream of Captain Howdy, because of that horrible picture...

Tommy-r 09-28-2005 03:48 PM
Anyone else listen to the Guano Apes? They deserve alot more publicity than they get.
yeah, they were quite big here some time ago, had a couple of hits. some good songs too :p .
their drummer looks like he's insane while playing.

I don't get those ones, but they seem fairly common

A lot of mine involve Conan O'Brien, because I watch him right before I got to sleep.

Josiah 09-28-2005 04:16 PM
crack :-*
Nah, I've tried crack and do actually enjoy it on occasion. Most often mixed with some sweet sheba. I don't prefer it straight, I think it lacks on it's own and can't see why anyone would be addicted to it.

On another note, it's rather hot today.

styler 09-28-2005 04:35 PM

lol nice josiah..nice, lol

anybody else notice that terry bozzio looks like a girl while hes drumming?..lol

Win A Rabbit 09-28-2005 04:37 PM

i've never tried crack, and don't really have the desire to do it (or any "hard drugs" really), but chances are i'll try it sometime in the next few years. no joke.

and about dreams, i had the weirdest dream last night. i dreamt me and my friends were like the supreme court, and there was this one group of people who wanted a new letter in the english alphabet. it was a triangle, and they wanted it to be called "brown". and they insisted that it be between the letters k and l. and to decide whether it would pass, we all had to say "a b c d e f g h i j k brown l m n o p..." eventually we passed it, but the group of people had no intentions to use it in any word, they just wanted it as an official letter.

Jezen 09-28-2005 04:46 PM

Sic your dreams are totally fucked.

poppinfresh 09-28-2005 04:47 PM

hahaha brown? what the hell where would that go on the keyboard?? between the shift and the enter, or would it be a button wiht a usb cable.

Drum Phil 09-28-2005 04:52 PM

Just stick it on the evil on screen keyboard of doom
