Of course you forgot SBG, you've never heard it.
very true, considering I only own every Death cd. SBG is my least favorite so I tend to neglect bringing it up during conversation. @Cocaine He can be loud but I never thought he was too loud. ie Severed Survival, it's really nice to actually be able to hear what the bass is doing, especially when its not just following the guitars. |
Yeah, in ITP it seems like he's just loud enough that you're concious of his presence and he comes into your audio focus occasionally, but he's not always there like Chuck's guitar.
@Tyler |
Sometimes he needs to shut the **** up and realize he's a bassist, not a lead guitarist. It's cool to show off how good you are but you still ultimately have to provide that low-end, rhythmic backbone
|
His playing never made me think that, but if you name a song specifically I might agree.
|
That's very true, yes. Kelly Conlon does just that in Symbolic.
@Tyler |
I dunno. Sometimes it's nice to have the rhythm guitar handle the backbone and let the bass go crazy. It grates if every song is like that, but occasional spurts are refreshing.
If you want a human metronome go ask Ian Hill to join your band. |
so this 14 year old girl on facebook (rock group) is trying to tell me that Job For A Cowboy is more talented and more "godly" than Edge of Sanity.

Crimson has become one of my favorite albums ever. Has she even heard EoS? |

yeah but you actually invited me to a ROCK VS RAP group so i mean how mature are you really? |
Guys, she's 14 years old. :-/ She's at the same intellectual level as Hbp. Remember that.
Also, jrowa001 is clearly an online stalker/kiddie fiddler. |
yeah ok, it was a group discussion so it wasnt just me and her. to Coke: i joined the group just to have fun with people that dont know as much when it comes to music as say you or i do. plus someone invited me. your a cool guy Coke but sometimes you really hurt my feelings. i'm de-joining that group in like 10 minutes anyway
|
DiGiorgio is too loud sometimes though.
Blasphemy |
 stfu nobody cares.
Panzerchrist's new stuff is pretty incredible. |
i dont know where else to post about them, but seriously, does no one listen to Torchbearer? "Warnaments" is a totally awesome album, y'all need to check it out
listening to Moonfog, gettin my br00tal def on |
They're pretty melodic, definitely not what I'd call brutal.
Cool though. |
the album im listening too is most definitely "brutal death"-y
says on m-a they used to play thrash/death but i've only listened to their latest |
Their latest sounds uber melodic to me, unless there's multiple Torchbearers.
Edit: http://www.myspace.com/ofthedyingbreed I fixed the volume of the vocals on Twilight if anybodies interested. And I added a "bands we shared the stage with omg" section lolz. Falling Over Failure for reference: http://a924.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/36/l_a3a9286b0f6b8f533cd08c910d3a84eb.jpg http://www.myspace.com/fallingoverfailure |

oshi- i thought you were talking about Moonfog who i mentioned last in my post i'm a jackass but yeah, Torchbearer are supermelodic, i love how they're melodeath one second and meloblack the next and neothrash the next, they're great imho |
Variance is a pretty cool aspect in musics, yes.
And damn, I feel dumb for thinking you were talking about Torchbearer their, I feel like I just made a rattle post. :x |

So, in July there's a fest 90 minutes from me. I'm thinking of going on specific days, for the bolded bands.
ABACINATE ABOMINANT AMAGORTIS ATROCIOUS ABNORMALITY BLOODSOAKED BRODEQUIN CARDIAC ARREST CEPHALOTRIPSY CEREBRAL BORE CONDEMNED COVENANCE DEVOURMENT EBONMORTIS EVISCERATED EXECRATION FUNERUS GHOUL GOD DETHRONED GOREALITY GORTUARY HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL HUMAN ARTIFACTS IDIOM IMPALED INCANTATION INSIDIOUS DECREPANCY MONSTROSITY MORTAL DECAY NOMINON ORIGIN PSYCHOMANCER PYREXIA ROMPEPROP SARCOLYTIC SEVERED SAVIOR STRONG INTENTION SUFFOCATION WACO JESUS WAKING THE CADAVER |
sounds pretty awesome, Ghoul and Suffocation wouldn't be anything to miss.
If Monstrosity were playing in their Imperial Doom days I would kill to see them, although I hear great things about Spiritual Apocalypse. |
Incantation is ace as well.
|
I've only heard Onward to Golgatha and I don't really remember it. I heard the Forsaken Mourning of Angelic Anguish was great, I'm not really sure what to check out by them.
|
Onward is a classic, and the new one is good too.
|
i'd like to see Origin
|
I'd like to see Devourment live to see if he can pull of all those vocals. Other than that I'd only care about seeing the bolded ones.
Oh, and Severed Savior. They're ****ing great. |
CEREBRAL BORE
Even if this band sucks they are still awesome for their name. |
 I didn't even pay attention to the ones I didn't know/like.
|
god dethroned would be cool to see live
|
Onward's production sucks, but it's a classic.
|
God Dethroned are great live, really nice guys too.
|

Yeah, it goes from Suffocation and Incantation to Waking the Cadaver.
And I found out that Monstrosity plays on one day, Incantation on another, and Suffo and Origin on another. ACK But supposedly there are 2 more headliners TBA, so they might be good news. |
Pate, where/when exactly is that?
|
Anyone else going to Maryland Death Fast? I think purplefeet goes.
