Kaada - Thank You For Giving Me Your Valuable Time
This album is one of the most mindblowing things ever. It totally baffles me that one man can make music like this. |
Does anyone in here like Mae? I think they're really great.
http://www.purevolume.com/mae I can't really explain their music. I think it's tops though. |
I like Qotsa's self titled, but Rated R is my favorite. SFTD is good too, but has some filler.
Been digging Mastodon and err Hundred Reasons strangely enough. Listened to Dookie quite a bit this week too. |
Recently I have been Digging:
The Killers The Dandy Warhols The Bravery |

Pixies
Weezer Bloc Party Bedouin Soundclash Pretty popular stuff, I've just been really digging them lately. |
Lots of Dylan
I've realised that usually my posts in this thread are usually "What I've been digging lately apart from Dylan" |
My favotite jazz group, Esbjorn Svensson Trio, are playing a show near me at the end of this month!!!
So, today I am going to listen to them all day. They are a group from Sweden, whose main influence is Radiohead. |
Bela Fleck And The Flecktones.
Celebration - Celebration
All you people who like that Dresden Dolls bullshit, this puts them to shame.
Looks like it's time for you to get on Soulseek with this. |
Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home
Fugazi - Steady Diet Of Nothing That Dylan is good stuff. |
Dinosaur Jr
Journey I'm starting over pretty much from scratch because my 3100 songs got wiped from my mp3 player. |
Aceyalone + RJD2 - Magnificent City
Aceyalone of Freestyle Fellowship, Haiku d'Etat and uh, Aceyalone. He's a pretty solid, somewhat old school MC. You know RJD2. First sweet collaboration of the year. The album opens with "All For U" and "Fire" which are both raw, absolutely perfect. The rest is pretty solid, too. A little top heavy but a something nice to stick in your car. Best of all? No skits or guest spots. |
De Novo Dahl - Cats And Kittens
Probbly my second favorite album of 05. |
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Jacksonville City Nights - downloaded this yesterday, it's pretty good, different from Love Is Hell (the only other Ryan Adams album I've heard) but it's good nevertheless.
Just downloaded Nada Surf - High/Low - listened to the first couple of tracks, it's shaping up to be a very enjoyable album. |
Dälek - Absence
Buck 65 - This Right Here is |
I do. More on their old stuff though.
Really? I didn't really like them until I heard the newer stuff. I'll be picking up that album today if I can find it. |
Can - Ege Bamyasi
Mischief Brew - Smash the Windows Shellac - At Action Park I used to think Big Black was better than Shellac, now i'm not so sure. |

Actually I haven't heard much of The Everglow.. I'll go on slsk and see if I change my mind. |
The Sea and Cake - The Sea and Cake
I love it. It grew on me over an extended period of time, and I can't get enough of it right now. Very well-played jazz-pop/rock, for lack of a better genre.
like Talk Talk? |
Against Me! - Acoustic EP
Against Me! - As the Eternel Cowboy The Rolling Stones - Get Your Ya-Ya's Out |
Nick Drake and The Microphones and Slint and Neutral Milk Hotel means I'm listening to party jams.
|
The Police - Outlandos d' Amour
The Smiths - The World Won't Listen |
Went on road trip to friends farm, so I made a tape of Mastadon, Kyuss, Black Flag and Dylan tunes. It worked quite well.

More like drumsistheonlygoodpartadon |
Mastadon is good sailing music (but all I can use it for is driving really fast :(), I don't know how that works for visiting a farm. But whatever, it's good stuff.
|
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
I haven't listened to this album in forever. |
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Elliott Smith - Either/Or Aphex Twin. Placebo. |
I prefer Mastodon.
|
I prefer Mastodon.
Spelling nazi. :p |
Cyne - Evolution Fight
Probably the best rap album of '05. If you think you are into underground hip-hop and you haven't heard this album, you're trash. It's fabulous the production is almost dreamlike and the MCs are fabulous. I recommend it highly |
Beck - Midnight Vultures
|
Buddy Rich - Strike It Rich
Rush - All The World's a Stage Yes - Fragile World/Inferno Friendship Society - Just The Best Party Against Me! - Acoustic EP |
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
I haven't listened to this album in forever.
What a wicked album. It has this really evil vibe, which I love. |
I think I got you into Sabbath. :-D
