I say you get Live at Leeds. It is amazing.
YES...toast to that! Best live album ever made...tis amazing

Woodstock 10-31-2004 10:13 AM

Aerosmith's only amazing song to me was Dream On. It had creative guitar work and that's when I liked the sound of Steven Tylers voice, before it was all high pitched and screetchy.

coolnewshoes 10-31-2004 10:16 AM

Yes, for sure.. it's really weird how it's coming back, but it's awesome and better than most of the stuff coming out these days.

jpj 10-31-2004 10:17 AM

I think Aerosmith's early stuff was very good, but then they stopped doing drugs and started making pop albums, which all really sucked.

drugstore cowboy 10-31-2004 10:17 AM

agreed about Aerosmith. I like Walk this Way too, because it's got a neat drum beat.
I think Aerosmith's early stuff was very good, but then they stopped doing drugs and started making pop albums, which all really sucked.
Yea, I prefer their first album over everything they ever did.

IAJP 10-31-2004 10:25 AM
Why were you banned?
LEIK OMG MULE WUZ AWSUM!!!!
I got banned, presumably because I was spamming.
But to the guy who wants a Who album,
I'd get 'The Ultimate Collection' there's so many albums by them it's untrue, best start is with a greatest hits.

Woodstock 10-31-2004 10:28 AM

Aerosmith's biggest mistake: covering Come Together

Broken Arrow 10-31-2004 10:31 AM

Oh Yeah....Jpj saw Gov't Mule yesterday. Could you give some better detail about the concert.

lunch998 10-31-2004 10:33 AM

Get Either Tommy, Live At Leeds, or Who's Next. And I like A Quick One.

Broken Arrow 10-31-2004 10:34 AM
Get Either Tommy, Live At Leeds, or Who's Next. And I like A Quick One.
He already has Who's Next.

Cream Team 10-31-2004 11:27 AM
They covered The Beatles song? That sounds terrible...most bands shouldn't try covering them (although people will insist on remaking Yesterday), but Steven Tyler's voice is just wrong for that song.
agreed...most of the beatles songs are so "soft" steven tyler has a great voice in its own respect, just not for beatles songs

BludgeonySteve 10-31-2004 11:47 AM
agreed...most of the beatles songs are so "soft" steven tyler has a great voice in its own respect, just not for beatles songs
Dream On is pretty soft. But I do see where you're going with that and I agree.

It was awesome x4945730897030. They played everything off of Dose and Deja VooDoo

Warren Haynes was godly he's so ****in awesome

Hess and Abts both had very nice solos, but I was distracted by some hippie lady in the front row doing weird drug induced dances. I believe her name was Rainchild.

Also right before they started a huge group of people came in and the whole place was filled with the overwhelming smell of pot. It was funny.

Cream Team 10-31-2004 12:18 PM
Dream On is pretty soft. But I do see where you're going with that and I agree.
yeah... dream on is pretty soft, and probably the most beautiful aerosmith song your gonna hear. steven tyler's voice is just too harsh for the beatles music. beautiful voice...just too harsh (insert a better word if you have one) for the beatles

I don't like Hess, but what about Danny Louis? :)

jpj 10-31-2004 12:56 PM

IMO the keyboards add a lot to the music. It just gives you a little something extra to all the songs. Why don't you like Hess? I thought he was wonderful.

Badmoon 10-31-2004 01:13 PM

He's cockeyed.

enpsychopedia 10-31-2004 01:47 PM

Velvet Underground has got to be one of the most underrated bands around IMO

JPJ #9 on the best bass guitarist list :thumb:
They have Entwhistle #1 he should definitely be in the top 10, but not #1 IMO.

 They have Stairway as the #1 rock song.

Badmoon 10-31-2004 03:18 PM

JPJ should probably not even be on the list.

Badmoon 10-31-2004 03:21 PM

Or atleast a ton lower.

drugstore cowboy 10-31-2004 03:46 PM

Hehe. Stairway is the #1 Rock song, and Achilles is the #21 greatest underrated rock song.

jpj 10-31-2004 03:49 PM
JPJ should probably not even be on the list.
Don't be such a negative nancy all the time.

Badmoon 10-31-2004 04:17 PM

You need to start livin' in the real world.

jpj 10-31-2004 04:19 PM

I live in the material world and like it just fine.

jpj 10-31-2004 04:56 PM

Creedence Clearwater 10-31-2004 04:59 PM
Good morning, did Dylan make it to the next round of that poll thing?
GOOD MORNING!!!! how was your sleep? rock not roll said he did make it. what would you like for breakfast?

does anyone here approve of the U2 song Vertigo? eventually it may be considered classic rock so we'd better discuss it now!

lunch998 10-31-2004 06:25 PM
Its 6:15 here, and I'm tryin to do this project, and all these kids keep interrupted me for candy.
I put a sign on my door that says "Out of Candy". Works like a charm.

jpj 10-31-2004 06:25 PM

It's catchy, after awhile it gets very annoying.

About Vertigo.

lunch998 10-31-2004 06:32 PM

Wow that site has so many listes. I'll be there forever.

I'm happy that they put Achilles Last Stand #29 on the best drumming performances. (Yes JPJ, I saw the Lemon Song #3 on the Bass performances.)
