Listened to a bit of Beyond the Gates today, and so far i've been really dissapointed. The guitar tone is no where near as good as Seven Churches and the production is pretty bad. It's pretty good but its a bit of a let down.

Evil is just a classic. I was listening to Return of the Vampire and the chorus sounds really punkish. Maybe that's due to most of the members being in a punk band before MF. Still a ripping song though.

It's great modern Thrash. Does it annoy anyone when Gary does the whammy bar wanking entrance to some of his solos? he overdoes it in my opinion. Anyway, Raze is quickly becoming my fave song after Going Going Gone on the album.

To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of the h-teams lead besides a few songs.

Shroud Of Urine has f[size=2]u[/size]cking awesome solos though. Total Priest worship.

Sometimes it gets repetitive and stuff. Then again, it's not as terrible as Rick Rozz (or so people say how bad he was on Leprosy).

Totally different guy for a band in a totally different genre, but still...I think I made sense.

I think they were better back in the 80's....especially Gary. On the new albums his solos kinda suck due to him covering them up with effects and such. The Lee Altus solos are pretty good, but that's expected with him being in Heathen.
