I didn't find the video [I]that [/I]bad. It's not exactly grim and dark adn what not, but it's OK for commercial purposes, I suppose.

I had that exact I idea, I could make the best video for the album. I can just see this man walking though an old town in a black clock not being noticed but he remeber the people as he walk past them. Like just imagine him looking at the inn keeper or something and it flash back to him cherring when he is banished. Or somehting like that.

I dunno - I love still life, having to interpret the imagery and story for yourslef is half the point of the album for me - and its definitely my favourite album.

I like opeth not having video's for their music. I dont mind them making a vid for The Grand Conjouration, but I kind of dont see the point of music video's, I'd prefer to listen to more music produced, than watch video's. Music video's seem to have become the "norm", and I fully dont see why, it's a nice creative idea, creating a video for a track to go with, but just becomes meaningless when everyone does it for every song :/

Who really knows... it might indeed have just been empty threats. Nonetheless, I admire Varg's insights and his perception of thought.

I read somewhere that he only stabbed him about 5 or 6 times, instead of 23...

Whatever the case may be, he's a rather messed up person...and his ideology changes almost every fecking day.

Varg might have screws loose, but some of what he says is intelligent. I read an interview about his views on women, and he said something to the effect of that they wanted to be more like men and if they couldn't, they would spend money on surgery and act like a whore. It's tr00f. :D

And yes, apparently Varg only stabbed Euronymous a couple times in the body and once in the head, the rest of the wounds are apparently from Euronymous falling on glass shards

yeah, when i read what varg said - admittedly chasing after a fleeing euronymous then stabbing him in the back may have been wrong, but the reaosn for wanting him dead, becuase otherwise euronymous wouldve had him killed seemed perfectly fair

Uhh...so Varg goes to Euronymous' apartment, attacks him, Euronymous tries to get a weapon (according to Varg) to defend himself, and Varg stabs him over 20 times?

That's not self-defense. If Euro killed Varg it would have been.

Wrong dude, Varg went there in the middle of the night (which he claimed was normal for them) with some kind of contract they had to sign, and at this time Euronymous and his friends had planned to kidnap Varg, tie him up, put him in the trunk of his car, drive him out to the country side, and torture him and video tape the whole thing. So Varg found out about this, went to his house for a different reason, and Euronymous seemed really nervous, and Varg seemingly startled him by saying "what the f[I]u[/I]ck is going on?" and Euronymous kicked him in the chest, and made a break for his kitchen where he kept a knife, then yadda yadda yadda, Varg stabs him in the hallway of the apprentment building, after Euronymous had knocked a lamp down and it shattered, Varg had stabbed him in the shoulder a few times already in an attempt to stop him, then Euronymous tried to kick him again, then Varg put the knife through his head, and he fell on the busted up lamp. Thats true, but you're forgetting Euronymous made the first attack against Varg, when Varg simply asked what the hell was going on with all this stuff he was hearing about the whole torture thing. And like Varg would make a story up quite like that. If you read any of his stuff that doesn't have to do with Euronmyous, you'll see he's not the kinda guy who would just make that story up.

Anyway, I was thinking today of a video in my head that would be so badass to [I]Still Life[/I], the entire album as a video. There's so many places [B]O[/B]peth could go with it, as could they with all their albums, but I think [I]Still Life[/I] would be more appropriate. If [B]O[/B]peth [I]do[/I] decide to make a video to one of their albums, it would be the first a band did that in a long time, not to mention make bank on it as well. They have the time, money and potential now, they just need to do it! What do you think?
