A Day In The Life, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and With A Little Help From My Friends are tied 3 wayz I sayz.

Oh yeah, you're like a guitar teacher right? Coo, not alot of people can play eruption on an acoustic (or even period)

Woodstock 10-30-2004 05:16 PM

Fixing A Hole and Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite are my favorites off the albums.

Badmoon 10-30-2004 05:18 PM

thickasabrick 10-30-2004 05:27 PM

The whole of that album is awesome,
I like it better than the white album, and all of the Beatles albums as a matter o' fact.

Woodstock 10-30-2004 05:45 PM

The White Album is my favorite followed by Abbey Road.

IAJP 10-30-2004 05:55 PM

Fav song off The White Album=Dear Prudence.

I love every song, I couldn't pick one. They're all so different and unique.

thickasabrick 10-30-2004 07:11 PM

i've actually only heard two beatles albums (help! and sgt peppers) all the way through so i cant make an educated decision on my favourite.

Sinner! Listen the White Album now!!!!!!!!I order you to!!!!!

I don't care if you're not interested right now. It will be the biggest mistake of your life.

drugstore cowboy 10-30-2004 08:01 PM

Sweet..Beatle talk =p. IMO Abbey Road>White Album>Revolver. Sgt. Pepper's got great songs (Especially Sgt. Pepper reprise, which is made amazing only by Ringo's beat and A Day in the Life), but I don't think Getting Better, or Fixing a Hole cut it for me. I love Good Morning, though alot of people don't.

The White Album was like a religious experience for me =p. I totally agree everyone should hear it at least once. Cry Baby Cry is one of my favourites, but like Woodstock said, there are too many good songs.

And Abbey Road is just a masterpiece. Every song on there is a great listen. Perfect album. =p

magicbus 10-30-2004 08:35 PM

Sweet sweet Led Zeppelin. Its been awhile since I listend to these, but I really like I and II.

Satan Claus 10-30-2004 08:41 PM

I love all the Beatles albums.

I love classic rock but my one complaint is that I find that classic rock radio stations are such a joke. If you knew nothing about classic rock except what you heard on the radio you would come to the conclusion that "Jailbreak" and "The Boys are Back in Town" are the only songs that Thin Lizzy ever did. Those station seem to do that with just about every band. It's always the same narrow playlist.

See, even you're not too cool for Led Zeppelin. But I know what your talking about when you listen to the early stuff when you haven't heard it in awhile.

Yea man, Zeppelin definently owns me. I just needed a break for awhile, what with all the commotion in the pit going on. Battle of Evermore. Brings back memories. I'm really diggin these headphones too, really brings out the reverb.

Try listening to:

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Dazed and Confused
Whole Lotta Love
Since I've Been Lovin You
Bring It On Home
Battle of Evermore
Stairway (yes it sounds cool  )
When The Levee Breaks
The Rain Song

With headphones on. First 4 I think sound the best.

Badmoon 10-30-2004 09:02 PM

anyone up for a chat

magicbus 10-30-2004 09:03 PM

I'll chat.

Badmoon 10-30-2004 09:04 PM

I think I might know what you mean. But I know what it feels like to listen to Led Zeppelin I after a long break. It's amazing.

appreciate_it 10-31-2004 02:41 AM

I_Like_Rolls_On_Toms 10-31-2004 04:13 AM

talking about the original post, all my firends and everyone except for my family who i talk to has never heard of led zep. Most of them have heard of the beatles (especially all the girls as there was a beatlemania thing on australian idol a few weeks back) and hardly anyone knows who the who are, it just pisses me off.

IMO 'A quick one' is not really worth getting, there's some really strange covers on that album, like 'Bucket-T'

My favourite Classic Rock bands are -

Led Zeppelin
The Who
Pink Floyd
Rolling Stones
Cream
Aerosmith
AC/DC
The Doors

Are Guns N Roses classed as Classic Rock?

I don't think that they are classed as Classic Rock,
But it's really debateable, I like them, and practically every band off your list, maybe with the exception of Aerosmith

I would have said the same about Aerosmith a week ago. I heard their albums - "Rocks" and "Toys in the Attic" during the week and was blown away, much better than I expected. Defintely worth a look.

Get "Tommy", 'cause it's a must have for any Who fan, or aspiring Who fan. Then get some earlier stuff. "My Generation", "The Who Sell Out". I'd say "Tommy" first, though. Shouldn't be more than 30$. =p

Broken Arrow 10-31-2004 09:32 AM

I say you get Live at Leeds. It is amazing.
