I'm surprised you didn't already have those, but nice pickups.

Does anyone here have Death Angel's live album Fall From Grace? Because it seems to me that there is only 1 guitarist. Am I right?

As far as I'm aware both Rob Cavestany and Gus Pepa played on the live album. Saying that, I don't have the album myself, so I wouldn't be able to confirm it.

It's weird, because on Voracious Souls, in that little melodic fill that pops up a couple of time it kind of sounds like two guitars, but under the first solo I can only hear bass.

DimebagDarrell 08-30-2005 09:55 AM

New heathen songs/demo to download at their site!!! go do it because it ****ing kicks ***

I was looking in a used record/book store today and found Blind Illusion's The Sane Asylum for $8 Australian, and a couple of Anvil vinyls! I will be venturing there to buy them tomorrow!

Might've been the hurricane that knocked out the power. Didn't he say he lived within the Bible Belt of Mississippi?

/has bad memory. :upset:

Wherever he may be, lets hope he's doing alright. This thread isn't the same without his enlightment.

MAthiAS 09-01-2005 08:54 PM

True that.

But I did listen to Morbid Saint today for the first time, killer stuff.

RavenousMetalist87 09-01-2005 09:54 PM

I'm sampling the new Nuclear Assault right now. I must say, it's not anything like Handle With Care or Game Over/The Plague but it's good to me.

It's not "OMFG YAY FOR THRASH!!!!!!!!!!111111" but I've listened to the joker material of the album and Long Haired ******* is SO far away from the rest of the album sound.

It's funny though. Sounds like something I'd hear on the Dukes of Hazzard.

Edit: Anyone here hear of a band called Phantom Crew? I found them randomly on iTunes (like I always do with stuff) and they have a 41 song Best-of disc out (I haven't browsed for it yet though outside of the internet) but I must say, their music is pretty good.

I realized I'm actually kind of disappointed. Why is a band as creative as Heathen making music that sounds rather retro?

Well, at least it's GOOD thrash (except for the verses of AoA...the stop-go riffs are annoying). :thumb:

I got Satellite Radio, and it owns. There is a metal station and they play everything from Dark Angel to Manowar. They play some gay stuff though like Slipknot, but it seemes like thay play that crap in the morning when no one's listening to the radio

What kind of sound do they have, m-m? I'm always open to new bands.
What Satellite Radio provider do you have, Face?

Oh yes, glad you're back Ryan. We began to become concerned that Katrina messed things up really bad for you over there.

I hate it when there isn't any power. It happens randomly here in LA. Sometimes DWP loses a generator or two and well, we have to pull out my dad's little generator and well, one time that happened and I was in the dark listening to my Ipod Mini and trying to watch TV. It sucked.

Anywho, it's great to have your influence back in this thread. :chug:

Have you heard of Phantom Crew by any chance, Ryan?

metal-militia 09-02-2005 07:06 PM

Nocturnus is early death metal with keyboards and sci fi lyrics.

How far were you from Katrina, Ryan?

I think i've heard the name Phantom Crew by the way, but i don't have any songs.. sorry :(

Terrorzone 09-02-2005 07:27 PM

Sounds interesting. As for Phantom Crew, don't worry about it. They only released like 4 demos, and the Best-of/Compalation (sp) contains any rare stuff and all 4 demos as well as 4 bootlegs. Pretty niffy since it only costs 10 bucks on iTunes, and it contains 37 songs (the bootlegs aren't included >_<)

Well, I'm fustrated with my amp because the footswitch cable has a problem with it's wiring.

Lucky for me, I know how to solder

RCA 09-03-2005 07:49 AM

It flatters me that you guys are concerned about my well-being, thanks.

I was hit by Katrina, as I live in the middle of Mississippi. We didn't get hit as bad as the people on the coast, but a tree did fall on our house. It put a large hole in the roof (right above my sister's room) and tore the raingutter off. It also lifted the foundation of the house off of the ground a little. On top of all that, we were without power for four straight days.

I never knew how much we rely on electricity. :(

As for Phantom Crew, I've only heard the name.

Arrakakaka 09-03-2005 08:04 AM

I hope that Dubya is right about those troops.
