Oh, and there's a little show here in SA too. All in one venue.
In this order: Silent Drive With Honor Comeback Kid Bane Big Business Oxes These Arms Are Snakes Isis The Black Halos The Queers Cephalic Carnage |
Wow. I'd go to the An Albatross, Some Girls/The Plot/The Chinese Stars and Murder By Death ones also. I hear Murder By Death is incredible live.
|
I would like to, but those are in the week and Austin is about an hour and a half from San Antonio.
|
By the way, those aren't all the shows. The link has complete listings.
|
I have my own venue in Texas? Sweet.
And that isn't Ian MacKaye Embrace, is it? |

Most bizarre lineup ever.
|
Well there's the CBK/Bane/With Honor tour and that Isis/These Arms Are Snakes etc. tour. But both at the same show? That'd be awesome though.
|
Buddy, are Underminded hardcore or metalcore?
|
I have my own venue in Texas? Sweet.
And that isn't Ian MacKaye Embrace, is it?
Most likely not. He's with the post-post-hardcore band the Evens now, I just picked up their CD last week. I might see em on Friday. |
Yeah, it's like 3 shows in one.
And Buddy I'm not sure if that's the same Embrace. |
Underminded are metalcore.
|
The Chinese Stars
What're they like? I saw them a few times browsing Soulseek files, but I thought they sounded like a Chinese pop band so I didn't download. |
Underminded are metalcore.
I asked Buddy! Do not speak! Nah it's cool I just want to know what he thinks about it. |
I asked Buddy! Do not speak!
Nah it's cool I just want to know what he thinks about it.
Even though they're local here and get all hyped up I still haven't bothered to check them out. I'm willing to put my money on metalcore though. |
I listed reasons in the other thread.
Jon, I don't think you would like The Chinese Stars. They sound a bit like the Blood Brothers but without screaming. Nasal vocals, dirty guitar tone, very little going on. |
Ah yeah I read that after I posted. Alright then.
And Buddy, check them out http://www.purevolume.com/underminded |
I just bid more than I wanted to pay for Give Blood on clear on Ebay. I get excited.
|
What's the big deal about Give Blood vinyl?
|
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=306&item=4708308230&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
That descriptiion is beter. "BAAAAAAAAAAANE!! *two steps furiously* Be sure to check out my other auctions...tons of vinyl/CDs. Good luck!" http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=306&item=4708293844&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW 8.50 isn't bad for a used 12" that probably cost 10 new. |
That second one is the one I bid on. I'm the high bidder.
|
I know, the 1st one has a better discription.
I don't know what the big deal is with it on vinyl, but the CD/Record fucking owns. |
When I get paid for Surfjunky I'm spending that shit on ebay.
I'd love Give Blood on vinyl. Especially clear. Clear vinyl rules. |
I didn't know there was a big deal about it. I just really like the album, and I've never seen it for sale.
|
I use ebay alot.
|
I have never used it before.
|
I used it a lot a couple of years ago.
|
My friend wanted to buy an old Bane shirt form like '96. I liked the design better on it than their current ones, but I would never buy a used shirt off ebay.
AN hoodie $1425, my god! hehe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3962145194&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT The guy selling that is selling counterfit AN and FP merch along with a bunch of other fake stuff. |
You posted the link to that Give Blood record again.
|
