To quote Sick of it All, disco sucks, fuck everything.
Seriously dude, we're here to be mature and serious. If you get us started, then head for the hills because just about all the die-hard thrashers will jump on your *** the second they see this.
Dargon's gone man...
For which song?
Hypnotized

Griffin_Page 04-30-2005 05:58 PM

Dargon's gone? Man, I need to come on here more... didnt even get to hail him goodbye. Man. Why'd he leave?

Freezing Moon 04-30-2005 06:06 PM
Can you recommend any good thrash bands apart from early Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Heathen and Dark Angel?
Kreator, Destruction, old Sepultura (Beneath The Remains especially), Testament and Coroner should be a good start.

NP: Coroner - The whole "No More Color" album.

I know :upset:

I miss the humor he brought to MX. Even if he flamed, it was still wasn't anything like extremely hurtful.

Oh well.

BUMP!

Me and my guitarist have been jamming Hangar 18 all day.. man, that is a great song!

:thumb: Indeed it is.

I rocked out to a lot of songs, a few Slayer songs, then some Destruction (thrash till death), Overkill, tried my hand at some Testament, some old Metallica stuff, then some Kreator and then tried to see if i could play some of Suicide Command from Coroner.

I jammed for a pretty long time though than what I normally do.

Suicide_Punishment 04-30-2005 11:00 PM

Would you guys condering "The Haunted " as Thrash?

People say they are like a mixture between slayer and Pantera, I only heard one song and that was yesterday

I wouldn't consider The Haunted as thrash. It's like...too angsty for my tastes. However, a majority of us Titans of Thrash will disagree with The Haunted being thrash.

They might incorporate thrash elements into the music, but I still think of them as "Gothenburg".

/biased :upset:

I've just been headbanging for an hour to Thrash, Speed and Melodic Death whilst I post on MX. Excuse me whilst I go check to see if my brain is still inside my head.

(Finally got Endless Pain by Kreator. Hell yeah!)
(Finally got Endless Pain by Kreator. Hell yeah!)
I want that cd. I only have Enemy Of God...All the Kreator cd's around me are $37 (with tax) I like them but thats too much money to spend, and i dont have a job

FatalEnergy 05-01-2005 01:12 AM

hey, I just wrote a song, I guess you could call it a thrash ballad, because Overkill's "Soulitude" and "The Years of Decay" influenced me to write it. I can't come up with a song title though, any suggestions?

'Tis the only true way to view MX. \m/

/Doesnt have Endless Pain :(

Suicide: Get Pleasure To Kill and then Coma Of Souls.

SLATANIC-666 05-01-2005 04:52 AM

Suicide: Order them off Amazon, it's relatively cheap even if you don't get them third party :thumb:

NP: Sepultura - Mayhem
Dude! You're putting **** on the name of Maiden! They're not at all power metal, just sometimes the lyrics are a bit power-metally... They're straight-up British Heavy Metal, always have been.
no i definetly would consider them power metal, and so would many people

Chu 05-01-2005 09:09 AM

Heh, what's the best Exodus album?
I read they were similar to Ride The Lightning era Metallica? Well if possible, I would like the album which is closest to this, does that make sense? Anyway, yeah suggestions please. :)

Iron Maiden influenced power metal, but they are definately NWOBHM. Trust me on this one.
Heh, what's the best Exodus album?
Bonded By Blood in my eyes, i dont think they sound RTL Metallica at all, Exo are heavier

Heavier is always good though :o

DisposableHeroes 05-01-2005 09:48 AM

Never said it was a bad thing

Suicide_Punishment 05-01-2005 05:12 PM

Whats your fav Megadeth cd?
Mine would be Rust in peace, peace sells or count down

Chu 05-01-2005 05:49 PM

SFSGSW easily in my opinion.
Not one song on it I don't like.

Whoever the lead with Mustaine was (Jeff Young?) was the best lead for Megadeth too imo.

MAthiAS 05-01-2005 06:27 PM

Rust in Peace, then KIMB, then SFSGSW

the reason I guess they were "similar" is because Metallica stole a bunch of Exodus's riffs and put them in songs on Ride the Lightning, such as Creeping Death, and Trapped Under Ice

RCA 05-01-2005 08:05 PM

I got in touch with some people affiliated with the scene in Europe, and a bunch of demos are being sent to my house as we speak.

More underground thrash for us all, YAY!!! :chug:

NP: Festering Sore - Chlorine For The Gene Pool (Check these guys out if you haven't already)

Suicide_Punishment 05-01-2005 08:28 PM
