Breaking up?

Kif 06-14-2005 10:38 AM
Worms of the Earth was one of my favorite Finch songs. The new single sounds really cliche and unoriginal and long hair = lose.
The new album is quite experimental actually. The riffs are lot more original and faster and heavier. Nate's singing is flawless on this CD in my opinion, his voice hits notes I never knew he could reach, and his screams in some of the songs (That's right, not guest screamer this time) sound really good. The lyrics are a lot about blood, guts and general stuff that is random. Nate said he didn't want to make the typical "i love a girl" songs, and he wanted people to interpret them as they wanted

It's one of the albums of the year in my opinion, and the only real problem I have with it is that they used too many effects. It's overproduced, and in some of the songs it sounds amazing and you can tell they perfected them. But others just sound worse with the effects on both the music and Nate's vocals, and it ruins the songs.

And there's a 2 minute spaz song on it!

Haha, I finished Uni last Friday. And now I can do stuff like sit in the computer room at 5.45pm on a Tuesday, drinking pint cans of Skol and posting on MX.

Which is what I'm doing right now, as it happens.

Rancid Dan 06-14-2005 11:13 AM

Don't ya just love 'Sadie' ?

Kif 06-14-2005 11:16 AM
Poor Spikey.

I have such a strong urge to put Dan on my ignore list for being a complete arsehole

Kif 06-14-2005 11:19 AM
uh, what?
He "hates Europeans" for some reason, and is generally not right in the head

It was funny for a while, but after a year of it it's getting annoying

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 11:22 AM

Leave poor Dan alone

Dead Star 06-14-2005 11:22 AM

As of now, I don't have anyone on my ignore list.

Rancid Dan 06-14-2005 11:24 AM

Yeah, i don't see the point at all.

Off for dinner, ciao

Untitled 06-14-2005 11:24 AM

I never have, even if i did, i would unignore them to see what they was saying.

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 11:25 AM

I've only ever blocked one person, that cockface that came into pop-punk and started typing random stuff in size 7

Kif 06-14-2005 11:25 AM

felch is on my ignore list, that's it

I've never really used it that much, but I am so tempted to right now

NP: Muse - Deadstar (Live)

Muse are one of the few bands who have kept my hope for rock music alive

Not even me :amaze:

Dead Star 06-14-2005 11:29 AM

Nope, not even him.

Understanding In a Crash 06-14-2005 11:58 AM

:) I love Kif.

Kif 06-14-2005 11:59 AM

So I was supposed to be recording my friend's band in the studio tomorrow (Demos only, last time we tried to do a proper song without a demo it went pear shaped), and the bastard's timetables all got changed and now I have a booked out studio and no one to use it with!

...

Anyone wanna come to Lincoln...?

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 12:01 PM

Doesnt Dan live there?

Kif 06-14-2005 12:02 PM

Dan UK does, but not in the same place as me. And I expect he would have lessons

Understanding In a Crash 06-14-2005 12:03 PM

*is the real DAN!*

I love Europeans, think they are cute in all, but too ignorant and arrogant. Especially the famous ones.

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 12:07 PM
ignorant and arrogant
You say that as an AMERICAN!

slug 06-14-2005 12:12 PM

Hey everyone.

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 12:14 PM

Yo my brother

Rancid Dan 06-14-2005 12:16 PM

Dan makes me laugh.

Lincoln owns.

What do you mean i have lessons ?

Tjebby 06-14-2005 12:16 PM

Hey Spencer.

Captain Jack Sparrow 06-14-2005 12:19 PM
Ipods are fantastic...every music lover should get one.
Ugh, iPods. All I ever hear about them is, "My iPod broke " or "I hit a wrong button and now my music is gone " or "I thought I turned it off, but now it won't come back on " I'm still convinced they're a colossal waste of money.

Dead Star 06-14-2005 12:19 PM

Yo chaps.

slug 06-14-2005 12:20 PM

Me.

I've been thinking lately, it would be so fun if all the Pop Punkers would get together and throw a party or something. It'd be awesome meeting all of you guys in person. :thumb:

/has very little chance of happening :upset:

Dead Star 06-14-2005 12:21 PM

The lucky ones among us will be meeting at Reading/Leeds (I don't remember which).

Rancid Dan 06-14-2005 12:23 PM

Meet in Lincolnshire :thumb:
Like all the americans would fly over..

I wonder what i'll get when i go to school tomorow, after school detention maybe ?

That would be so HxC

jcxstargazer 06-14-2005 12:26 PM

Just dont turn up for a detention, especially if you did nothing wrong. They only take notice if you dont show up, being at the detention practically says "I did it, and im taking my punishment"

Rancid Dan 06-14-2005 12:26 PM

No.

London perhaps, but i would need a car which would take a few years...

Captain Jack Sparrow 06-14-2005 12:26 PM
Uh, if there was a world wide MX get together it should take place in NYC.
I concur.

Dead Star 06-14-2005 12:27 PM

I would be up for London.
